Welcome To Crimesider
Dear True-Crime Fans,
As we launch our new site, we wanted to take a moment to welcome you to have a look around, read a few stories, and stay a while. The Crimesider team has been working behind the scenes for months to build what we hope is the ultimate blog for true-crime fans. Based on the best instincts of 48 Hours Mystery, our producers pursue the top crime stories of the day. In addition, we will bring you unbelievable stories of pain and courage from 911 calls desperate for help and on-camera police interrogations. Add a touch of humor from the world's dumbest criminals and riveting caught-on-tape footage and we believe we have a great mix for you.
Over the next few months, we will also be adding expert analysis from the country's top forensic scientists, crime scene investigators, detectives and attorneys as well as exclusive interviews with today's top true-crime authors.
So buckle up. We're not perfect yet. Even though we come from a television show with 20 plus years of history, we're the new kid on the online block. And we're learning.
That's why we want to hear from you. Tell us what you think works and doesn't on the new site. Tell us what kind of stories you feel should get more coverage. Comment on the stories we publish and get involved. There's only one person that will make this site and community great. You.
We want to hear from you.

I like the site but I have 2 suggestions. 1. It took forever to register to comment. It kept telling me my zip code 27102 was not a valid zip. I finally had to pick a random one just to register. By the time I was finally able to register I forgot what my comment was lol. 2. It would be nice to see some main stream crime blogger names we recognize here. I personally am a big fan of David Lohr. Perhaps that is something you can do as well. Other than those things I will be back to check on this blogs progress.

Does anyone think 48 is too old to go into a new field as some type of investigator? If so, what branch should i try? I have 15 years experience in transporation and an associates in Business Management. I have a job, but would like something more challenging.
Anyway...thanks for the new site!
On the aesthetics side, its hard to see the submit button to push to submit this. My eyes aint what they used to be so I had to lean in to even find that button. Why don't you add a email option at the end of these cases so they can be sent around? I got my whole office hooked on 48 Hours Mystery, I would email the transcripts of the previous week end case to them and they would eat it up. Theres a few more kinks, I've noticed, the ease of navigation doesn't just jump at you, you have to really read in some cases to figure out how to keep going, its not readily apparent in other words. All in all I know you're doing your best, so there you have it, you wanted to hear from me, there it is. Good luck and pay attention to these and others comments, it'll help you build a successful site.
Happy Trails
-Neil
