What Do You Want CBS News To Poll About?

(CBS)
The CBS News polling unit regularly surveys Americans on what they think about a variety of topics – from the president's approval rating to the economy to hot button topics like the recent AIG bonuses and whether marijuana should be legal.

But now we want to know what YOU want us to ask in our poll.

What kind of topics are you interested in knowing what the rest of America thinks about? Is there something about President Obama that we're not asking now? Or is there a debate that's been under the radar that you want asked of your fellow Americans?

Let us know and your questions could be answered in an upcoming poll tied to the first 100 days of the Obama presidency. You can use the form below or e-mail your suggestions to hotsheet@cbs.com.

Why not Poll America about the fact that Obama bowed to the Saudi King? Whas this really a good idea showing weakness in front of the entire world?

Obama bows to Saudi king
Greeting called 'most unbecoming for president of the United States'

President Obama greeted the king of Saudi Arabia with a full bow from the waist yesterday, a move one commentator described as a violation of protocol and not worthy of the office he holds.

"I am quite certain that this is not the protocol, and is most unbecoming a president of the United States," writes Clarice Feldman in an American Thinker commentary.

The situation developed as leaders of the world attending the G20 summit in London assembled for a photograph to mark the event.

In this first image, after the king extended his hand while Obama approached, Obama bends from the waist until his head is nearly at the monarch's waist:

OK! I saw the video and was shocked. How could the so called POTUS bow to a Monarch. I guess he wants oil. Any defense for the exhaulted messiahs' actions on this total lack of guts? He may as well have said to the world that America will BOW TO ANYONE and pretty much supplicated the US to the entire world. WEAK,WEAK,WEAK. So much for the intelligence and dignity factor. Now I have seen it all. Why is'nt CBS covering this?

1. Should corporations be given the same standing and rights under our Constitution as individual citizens? (The legal concept of "Corporate Personhood")

2. When attempting to cut costs, should large corporations make an effort to reduce executive salaries before laying off lower level workers?

3. Do you think it is acceptable that the ratio of corporate CEO pay to the pay of the average company worker is roughly 344 to 1 in America today, while it was about 24 to 1 in America in 1965 or roughly 12 to1 today in other financially successful countries such as Japan?

4. Is the current financial crisis the result of a) the deregulation of financial institutions (repealing regulations put into place during the Depression era), b) Wall Street greed, c) irresponsibility of borrowers to be responsible in understanding terms of their loans, d) all of the above?

5. The primary failure of healthcare in the U.S. is: a) that it is primarily dependent on employers, b) that private insurers do not pay valid claims, c) individual policies are too expensive for the self-employed, d) malpractice insurance adds prohibitively to the cost of medical care?

6. Do you support a Medicare-based system of health care available to all citizens on an optional basis?

President Obama in no way inherited this crisis, in fact HE WON IT!
Could he please abstain from being a victim now?
******
If it happened before he took office, how can you say "he didn't inherit it"?

If buying Toxic assets is what was needed, why didn?t the tarp money do this?
******
Because TARP was rushed through without thinking thanks to the input of the previous administration.

What happened to the down payment for health care if there is no program yet?
******
WHAT? Maybe there is no program because we have other more pressing issues to deal with at the moment.

What laws or piece of the constitution is relevant for this administration?
******
Talk to the last administration about that.

Taxes are going up; will top officials be made to pay their share?
******
Perhaps you should talk to Phil "America is a nation of whiners" Gramm who works at UBS and ask him how that investigation of offshore tax evasion of his company is going.

When do we stop mollycoddling the Middle East?
******
As in...his blowing off Ahmedinejad?

Are we afraid of the Muslims or just in bed with them?
******
Try again, no evidence for that.

If the prisoners from Cuba are freed in this country, how much will they get as a bailout? And how do I sign up for this program. Also will you release their home address as in the case of the AIG families?
******
WHAT!

Why is acorn not being investigated for crimes, and why are they profiting from government. Who are they and what is their agenda?
******
Try again.

The give ACT or volunteerism Act
Why does this president think we need a civil volunteer army as strong and well funded as the regular army? Isn?t that what the National Guard is for? And who would command such an army, for what propose, and why would they need to use kids starting from the age of 10? Hitler had such a thing as the Hitler youth and you see where that got him.
******
What in the world are you talking about? You heard a rumor from a friend of a friend about using 10 year old kids and you think it's true? Puh-leeeeeeze!

Why does the Obama administration seem to dislike the Brits, snubbed at every turn?
******
Utter nonsense--did you hear The PM or the Queen complaining?

When does this country officially call us socialists? Is this to happen after he bails out the news papers?
******
WHAT?!

When can we expect our president to release his birth, health and college records?
By not releasing these he keeps a shadow over his administration.
You would think by now this administration could have forged good ones by now.
******
Whatever records he needed to release have been released. Sorry you're so paranoid that you can't accept them.

After this letter I will be audited and I only hope I get as much under sight as Obamas people did. I hope the Giethner rule is applied because America is too big to fail.
******
You are a paranoid freak. Let me assure you that you don't need to cower in fear under your bedcovers like a wuss, because Obama has no intention of going after you just because you don't like him. Puh-leeeeeeeeze!

Get these answers and then I will get back to you, thank you.
I might be having to write my next questions from an Internment camp and I am not sure if I will be allowed my computer!

You truly ARE a paranoid freak! Puh-leeeeeeeeze!

99% of your spew is nothing but paranoid garbage!

This is the result of the decline in our educational system over the past 4 decades.

It truly makes me sad that our educational system has failed so badly that we have citizens spewing nonsense like this.

Why is the biggest story of the day being buried ? The Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac bonuses. Even bigger than AIG's We were united in outrage over that one and this one isn;t even on the radar. Is the media complicit in covering up the latest looting of tax payer money? Is this a government of the people or of the corporations. ?

In February 2008, Obama Said He Was Running For "Commander Of Chief"

Obama: "I'm running to be commander of chief on a record of standing up for our wounded warriors."

Obama: "Our troops fight and die in 20-degree heat to give Iraq's leaders the space to agree, but they aren't filling that space." (Sen. Barack Obama, Remarks On Iraq, Clinton, IA, 9/12/07)

In August 2007, Obama Mistakenly Referred To "The President" Of Canada, When Canadian Government Is Run By Prime Minister

In May 2008, Obama Claimed His Uncle Helped Liberate Auschwitz

this one is possible because

This is the news that didn't make the headlines...

By executive order, President Barack Obama has ordered the expenditure of
$20.3 million in migration assistance to the Palestinian refugees and
conflict victims in Gaza . The "presidential determination" which allows
hundreds of thousands of Palestinians with ties to Hamas to resettle in the
United States was signed on January 27 and appeared in the Federal Register on February 4.

Few on Capitol Hill took note that the order provides a free ticket replete
with housing and food allowances to individuals who have displayed their
overwhelming support of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the
parliamentary election of January 2006.

A review of Barack Obama's most recent actions since he was inaugurated:

His first call to any head of state as president was to Mahmoud Abbas,
leader of Fatah party in the Palestinian territory. His first one-on-one
interview with any news organization was with Al Arabia television. He
ordered Guantanamo Bay closed and all military trials of detainees halted.
He ordered all overseas CIA interrogation centers closed. He withdrew all
charges against the masterminds behind the USS Cole and 9/11. Now we learn
that he is allowing hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refuges to move to
and live in the US at American taxpayer expense.

Why do you think that the Obama machine has spend 3 million dollars so far trying to block the release of his records? If he was such a good little boy why not prove it to the people and end this discussion.
People Obama loves this kind of in fighting, look at AIG and Acorn, Global warming and all the other nuts in the wood work.
Saul Alinsky said it best, work from the inside to bring about change you can believe in

Alinsky wrote in the book's prologue:
"What I have to say in this book is not the arrogance of unsolicited advice. It is the experience and counsel that so many young people have questioned me about through all-night sessions on hundreds of campuses in America. It is for those young radicals who are committed to the fight, committed to life." In the first chapter, opening paragraph Alinsky writes, "What follows is for those who want to change the world from what it is to what they believe it should be. The Prince was written by Machiavelli for the Haves on how to hold power. Rules for Radicals is written for the Have-Nots on how to take it away".[1]
Outlining his strategy in organizing Alinksy writes:
"There's another reason for working inside the system. Dostoevski said that taking a new step is what people fear most. Any revolutionary change must be preceded by a passive, affirmative, non-challenging attitude toward change among the mass of our people. They must feel so frustrated, so defeated, so lost, so futureless in the prevailing system that they are willing to let go of the past and change the future. This acceptance is the reformation essential to any revolution. To bring on this reformation requires that the organizer work inside the system, among not only the middle class but the 40 per cent of American families - more than seventy million people - whose income range from $5,000 to $10,000 a year [in 1971]. They cannot be dismissed by labeling them blue collar or hard hat. They will not continue to be relatively passive and slightly challenging. If we fail to communicate with them, if we don't encourage them to form alliances with us, they will move to the right. Maybe they will anyway, but let's not let it happen by default."[2]
Alinsky codified and wrote a clear set of rules[3] for community organizing. His rules for radicals are now used as key tactics to learn in the training of new community organizers. An example of one of these is rule 12: "pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it."

Do you think that we will ever see the Main Stream Media CBS NBC ABC will ever do a story on President Obama like they did on GW Bush, Sarah Palin and McCain? Do you think they would do a story on how we haven't even gotten half the story of Barack Obama because they never did their job and now we are paying for it. Thanks for not doing your job

An-Historian,

"The Obama "citizenship questions" posted here are just plain idiotic, IMHO, and certainly not worthy of any serious consideration. I'm surprised to see that there are still people bringing that worn-out silliness up.

So you find it silly to call into question those who are placed into office when it is a direct violation of our U.S. Constitution? What kind of historian are you? Or, are you even American?

"A public opinion poll could never be expected to legally resolve such an issue; our designated "certifying authorities" are tasked with handling that job,...."

True.

"...and they have already decided the matter, once and for all. End of story."

Wrong. It's still being investigated.

"I doubt that even 1/100,000th of 1% of the US population doubts the outcome of that simple and publicly transparent vetting process. That statistically insignificant minority is obviously composed of garden-variety nut cases,..."

Wrong again.

" plus a tiny group of truly pathetic political "sore losers" that just can't come to grips with (or accept) reality."

This comment is mostly correct. I was one of 59,934,814 who lost (not exactly a tiny group, nor pathetic) and I doubt that I stand alone in stating that I was not a sore loser but I was (and still am) sorely disappointed in my fellow Americans.

"99.99999% of Americans are totally satisfied with the official decision on this particular issue. The sad few that still are not satisfied really need to seek out some professional psychiatric help."

Ooops you did it again. Actually 17 states have filed suit, with the possibility of more states to follow if enough petition signatures and financial support continues to pore in. Ignoring our constitution is not an insignificant thing. It may be the biggest constitutional crisis we have ever faced.

Far from silliness, far from insignificant, far from a tiny few. This is huge. This is a travesty.

Concept for a public poll question.

Do you think CBS 60 Minutes should investigate and report the facts, in a one hour report; that fully present both sides of the controversy surrounding the numerous Court Cases surounding Barack Hussein Obama's Constitutional Eligibility to be the POTUS?

Since BO's father was a British Citizen, why does no one realize that under British Common Law baby BO was born a Brit. Therefore he can not be considered a Natural Born American. Everyone focuses on his mother and whether he was born in Kenya or Hawaii. No one even talks about his father, a Kenyan and thus a British Citizen who had rights also. What do people think about this?

Please ask if Americans to consider the amount of loan debt each student graduates from college carrying.

Follow-up: Given that consideration, do you believe a college education is still affordable for most Americans?

Please ask Americans if they are in favor of health care reform or happy with the existing system.

Follow up for Yes answers:

What form would you like to see the new system take?
A) A private insurance-based system (as we have now)
B) A mixed system of some private insurance and some govt-provided universal health care (UHC)
C) A system of UHC funded directly through already-existing taxes where there is no fee directly to the patient, as in Canada, Europe, and Japan
D) Another model

As a follow-up, please ask if the new system should utilize insurance companies as middlemen in the process, or should it cut insurance out of the process altogether? (THIS NEVER GETS ASKED)

Finally, do you regard America's health as a national asset to be developed and cultivated, or as a means for profit like any other commodity? (THIS ALSO NEVER GETS ASKED)
