Katie Couric's Notebook: Palin's E-Mail Hacked

There's been a heated debate swirling on the blogs about Gov. Sarah Palin's Yahoo e-mail account, and whether she may have conducted official state business there. The question certainly raises eyebrows, but the FBI is now focused on another incident involving her personal e-mail.

On Tuesday, an anonymous person or persons hacked into Gov. Palin's account, changed the password, and proceeded to forward her personal information around the Internet. That included private photos of her kids that ended up on websites such as Gawker and Wikileaks.

Sarah Palin is a public figure, but she has the right to privacy and so does her family. The scary lesson here is how easy it is to invade that privacy online, and the damage that can be caused by just a few mouse clicks.

If she used her personal account for the wrong reasons, it's up to the authorities to investigate it – not hackers.

She can stare down a moose!
She claims she is fiercer than a pit bull!
She wants us to believe that she could lead the country.
She wants us to believe she can go toe to toe with our advisories from Iran, China, Russia, Venezuela and so on, if God forbid she were to become President.
She wants us to believe she%u2019s soooo tough%u2026
Yet she%u2019s intimidated by the press, and won%u2019t take their questions.
Am I missing something?
Only the clucking of a chicken wearing lipstick.

hamp10 You are ridiculous!!! Why did you post the same stupid website so many times? I read it and it''s a bunch of bull ***. It''s pretty obvious why it was written...Give me a break! I guess the reason nobody really cares is because anybody with half a brain can tell it was written with an agenda. And what was the name of that waitress? Yeah, what waitress? As I said, bull ***!

Sarah Palin rights were clearly violated and I hope all the people involved in exploiting her will all GO DOWN! That includes the MEDIA!!!

Whoever hacked into Governor Palin%u2019s personal Yahoo account should be prosecuted under the full extent of the law. Your missing the big picture.. this is a privacy issue that could have happened to any one of us.

she''s a public figure now. She should be looked at from top to bottom. She''s a very twisted being who deserves all the bad press available. Of course I''m being bias, isn''t that so American?? Get lost Palin, preferable in a helicopter.
