McCain Ad Touts Ticket

The McCain campaign is out with a new ad, titled, “Original Mavericks,” featuring the GOP candidate and his running mate, Sarah Palin. In the ad, the two are portrayed as crusading reformers, with an announcer intoning: “The original mavericks. He fights pork barrel spending. She stopped the bridge to nowhere. He took on the drug industry. She took on big oil. He battled Republicans and reformed Washington. She battled Republicans and reformed Alaska. They'll make history. They'll change Washington. McCain. Palin. Real change.” Watch it:

UPDATE: A response from Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton:

“Despite being discredited over and over again by numerous news organizations, the McCain campaign continues to repeat the lie that Sarah Palin stopped the Bridge to Nowhere. John McCain has voted with George Bush 90% of the time and he and Sarah Palin will continue Bush's economic policies, his health care policy, his education policy, his energy policy, and his foreign policy. McCain and Palin will say or do anything to make people believe that they will change something besides the person sitting in the Oval Office. That's the kind of politics people are tired of, and it's anything but change."

Democrats: Mortgage crisis? No one was manning the store, I think McCain said, "Government shouldn''t stand in your way!!". There wasn''t enough regulation and look what happened...the taxpayers get to bail out financial institutions, Fannie Mae; that''s neglect from a Republican President and a Republican philosophy.

He may have taken on the Republican''s in Washington but, he lost the battle as to who would be his VP. The first major act as a potential president is who your VP is and he folded for Palin. That''s reform!!
"The Bridge to Nowhere" became an earmark for over 200 million dollars which was accepted and spent by Palin. Are all earmarks BAD or just the one''s titled, "The Bridge to Nowhere".

"The Republican Party is responsible for the economy we are all dealing with today"

Wrong again. The economy was just fine two years ago. Then the do-nothing Democrat Congress got it, refused to do their jobs, and handed us this mess. And its no accident. They are perfectly willing to sit and let their inaction hurt people so that they can misdirect the blame in a Presidential election year.

These are the *** you want to put in trust of your future ... you need to learn how this stuff works and smarten up, my friend. Going thru life as an ignorant and gullible tool is not really what you have in mind, I''m sure! LOL

"What the hell? This nightmare just keeps getting worse will someone wake me up? It is so obvious why can''''t the majority see through this? "

Ease up, the nightmare of the last few months IS disappearing. Its looking more and more like the incompetent Obama with his lies and scams isn''t going to get away with it.

We''ll have a man with REAL experience in the White House. So relax, you''re going to be OK.

Why is it not news that Ms Palin is part of a cult-like church that she has belonged to for her adult life, while Mr. Obama''s religious association is brought up regularly. Religious zealots should be pointed out, as Ms Palin appears to be one. Not someone I want a heartbeat away from the office of the President.

Truly outstanding reporting, Vaughn.

Why would anyone think you should point out an obvious lie when a candidate puts it in an ad?

Why would the GOP Party and Senator McCain nominiate someone for Vice President who once belonged or had affiliations with a group who wants to secede from the United States and whose motto is put Alaskan First! The Alaskan Independence Party (AIP)! And what does that tell you about the Republican Party that Sarah Palin, a heartbeat away from the Presidency believes in her heart, Put Alaska First?

Sarah Palin who could possibly be our next Vice Presient and/or President has a long time affiliation with the AIP , group which wants to separate from the United States, whose motto is Alaska First%u2014Alaska Always.%u201D Sarah Palin%u2019s husband also has a long-time mebership with this group, the Alaskan Independence Party. Officially, the AIP is a political party which advocates, in part, becoming a separate nation or commonwealth state%u2026 The party has appeared on the ballot in Alaska in all state elections since 1970. At other times, party members have also proposed that the state explore the possibility of joining Canada.

Here is a Link to Sarah Palin addressing the Alaska Independence Party in 2007 wherein she tells them %u201CYour party plays an important role in our state%u2019s politics ... keep up the good work, and God bless you.%u201D

McCain and Palin are Republicans voted for by Republicans, and are supported by Republicans.
The Republican Party is responsible for the economy we are all dealing with today as Americans, the unnecessary Iraq War, and the Corruption that has riddle our entire Government.

What are they, the Republican Ticket going to change?
