All Clear On Powder Threat

After yesterday’s flurry of reports about threatening letters containing white powder sent to John McCain’s campaign offices in Colorado and New Hampshire, McCain communications director Jill Hazelbaker issued the following statement this morning:
At approximately 3pm Mountain time, a McCain staff member in Denver opened an envelope that contained a threatening letter and an unknown white powder. As a precautionary measure, the campaign office was immediately closed and staff was sent to a local hospital for medical evaluation. Local authorities as well as the FBI and United States Secret Service have investigated the scene and determined that the substance poses no threat.

Also yesterday afternoon, a similar letter was found in the campaign's Manchester, New Hampshire office. After closing that office, the Manchester Police Department determined that there was no threat.

Senator and Mrs. McCain thank the local and federal authorities for their swift response and will continue to monitor the situation closely.

The Republican Party has proven (time and time again my friendz) that they will not lookout for the benefit of the Average American. They%u2019ve lied about taking our country to war, have held energy ransom, robbed the Federal Treasury, taken away right to privacy, and have neglected our common infrastructure.

Americans cannot trust any REPUBLICAN.

truthmatterz, my thought exactly. I used to be truly independent, voting for the candidate without regard to Party. But thanks to Rove/Bush/McCain, I doubt I''ll ever trust another Republican or vote for one.

What else ya got up your sleeve, Mr. Karl Rove.

THis one goes into the same category as the one where you put a serveillance bug on the wall of your slimy Republican Texas Candidate and then called in all the media to blame it on the highly regarded Democratic opponent. His huge lead immediately plummeted as people fell for the trick.

But now we all know there isn''t any level of gutter tactics that is too low for you to sink to. And you aren''t fussy about the caliber of the people you help put into office.
