Kathy Hilton Calls McCain Ad "Waste Of The Country's Time"

Kathy Hilton, Paris Hilton's mother, is upset with John McCain's campaign for its use of her daughter in a campaign commercial.

The Huffington Post is featuring a blog post from Hilton in which she calls the McCain campaign's "Celeb" ad, in which Paris Hilton is fleetingly linked as a celebrity to Barack Obama, "a complete waste of the country's time and attention at the very moment when millions of people are losing their homes and their jobs."

"And it is a completely frivolous way to choose the next President of the United States," she writes.

Kathy Hilton and her husband have donated $4,600 to McCain's campaign. She called the spot "a complete waste of the money John McCain's contributors have donated to his campaign."

The ad in question:

The Republicans will waste the time of Americans during this election because they don%u2019t want to talk about the results of their actions and policy.

Perpetual War, Mismanaging of Federal Treasury Funds, and Fear Mongering.
Increased Governmental $pending while cutting Taxes to the Wealthy.
Unfair Taxation of the Middle Class.
High prices for GASOLINE, Electricity, and Everything Else!
High Medical Costs and Prescription Drugs.
Pollution.
Invasion of Privacy, and disregard for our Constitution.
Corruption, Corruption, Corruption.
Religious Hypocrisy and Abuse of Tax Laws.
Politicalization of the Justice Department.
Degradation of our Infrastructure.
Continued export of American Jobs to overseas Slave Labor.
Decline in US stature and respect of the World Community.

Yeah America, VOTE FOR MORE OF THIS!

I noticed that you never disputed the facts, only that you start name-calling.

Typical Lib when backed into a corner.

We can all thank Karl Rove for this slandering type of campaign ad. The sad thing is, it works for many of our population. Election years are only becoming more soap-opera like in the campaign and people are eating it up. Look at all the trash magazines we have to choose from, and the garbage TV shows like Big Brother 10. Come on, it''s all around us and it''s getting more and more attention. I hope we wake up someday and smell the pile that has become our consciousness.

The media is following John McCain right into the gutter of American politics. McCain and the media want to talk about anything (including race and Paris Hilton) EXCEPT THE ISSUES, because McCain and the media lose when Americans look at the issues.

McCain%u2019s was the major Senate advocate and supporter for the war in Iraq. McCain%u2019s mistake in judgment cost America more than $1 Trillion and 4,000 American lives. You ought to vote for Senator Obama if you think that the war in Iraq was wrong and harmed our economy during the past 5 years.

Our economy is in huge trouble and McCain wants to perpetuate Bush%u2019s foreign policy and tax cuts for the wealthy: including a $4 billion tax cut for the big oil companies that are eating YOUR lunch. In contrast, Senator Obama will get a windfall profits tax (on those excess Oil Company Profits) that will be rebated to you.

Senator McCain voted with President Bush 95% of the time during the past eight years.

Ask yourself: Are you better off today than you were 8 years ago?

If you think President Bush has done a good job, then McCain is your man. If you like the results of the past 8 years, then vote for McCain, because you will get more of the same for the next 8 years.

At all events, please focus on the issues that are important to you: not the media sideshow.

Are you better off today than you were in 2000?

The Hilton family should withdraw its support to John McCain and endorse Barack Obama. Then, Paris should aggressively campaign for Obama to bring up the youth vote. This would be the best revenge for being ridiculed by the Republicans.

Any one who doesn''t see race as an issue in this campaign can''t see the elephant in the room. Race in fact is a part of every issue in this country and has been since 1624, when the first slaves were purchased by Virginia planters from a Portugese slave ship. Whenever a country has such a deep seated history of repressing and opressing one race of people, as was done to Americans of African descent, race will always be an issue. How dare John McCain or any one of his Klan, and I say Klan because he found no fault with the Confederate Flag in South Carolina, in fact he found it honorable as a part of their heritage. How dare he deny my people, how dare he even suggest that it would be wrong even if Barack mentioned, or alluded to the race issue. Weren''t his father and grand father four star admirals in the U. S. Navy, the same Navy that denied by ancestors the right to serve and the same Navy that dishonorably discharged the black Sailors at the Port Chicago disaster? How dare any white politician find fault with a black man for bringing the race issue to the front, although Barack did not. But if he had too bad

It is an issue because Obama and the Democrats are. But again, they get a pass on this hypocrisy because they are Democrats.

************************************Does any one know of a company that makes baby pacifiers?
I would like to order a truckful to have delivered to one of McCain%u2019s 8 mansions. He will need a couple of cases for himself, to suck on instead of crying like a baby and whining because he misses having the media drooling over him like they have for the past 10 years.
The rest of the truckload he can distribute to his supporters, because they are constantly crying like babies as well.

So to answer the question many talking heads asked last week, yes, race is an issue in this campaign. But it is an issue not because conservatives or Republicans are making it one.

McCain....still obsessing over rich young blondes.
Mothers, Lock up your daughters.
Remember Cindy was only 24 when the 42 year old (married) McCain chased her down.

This is a major embarrassment for John McCain. One of his top donors is publicly condemning him for comparing her daughter to Obama in national T.V. ads. You have to wonder which one of McCain%u2019s friends will be targeted next by his campaign. I would suggest the buyer beware.

The only one bringing up Obama''s race is Obama. He brings it up all the time. Then, when it is convenient, he hypocritically and falsely accuses McCain of bringing it up.

So to answer the question many talking heads asked last week, yes, race is an issue in this campaign. But it is an issue not because conservatives or Republicans are making it one.

It is an issue because Obama and the Democrats are. But again, they get a pass on this hypocrisy because they are Democrats.

Could it be that McCain is so in awe of Obama that he has no idea of how to compete with this new kind of honest and forthright politician. McCain is a pol of the old school and we see it in his "flip flop" statements. He and his ilk call changing one''s mind a bad thing, but I think that an elected official who can change his or her mind after receiving new information is a breath of fresh air.
