Video Shows IED Attack Was Led By Saddam's Deputy

The Iraqi insurgent group, al Naqshabandiyah Army, released a short clip depicting an IED attack on a U.S. humvee near Baghdad. For the first time, the group placed its logo on the video, next to that of the Supreme Command for Jihad and Liberation led by Saddam's former Deputy Izzet Ibrahim al Doury.

The alNaqshabandiyah Army is an active insurgency group made of former Iraqi Army officers. In their statement of foundation, the group said it sought to restore the Islamic and Arab identity of Iraq. It expressed willingness to negotiate with U.S. forces through intermediaries.
