Democrats To Debate In Pennsylvania

The Barack Obama campaign just sent out a press release announcing that Obama has accepted invitations to debate in Pennsylvania and North Carolina.

Earlier, the Hillary Clinton campaign sent out a release announcing the former first lady had agreed to participate in the Pennsylvania debate, which is scheduled to take place in Philadelphia on April 16th.

The North Carolina debate, which would be hosted by CBS News and moderated by Katie Couric and Bob Schieffer, is scheduled for April 19th. The location has not been determined.

“Senator Obama welcomes the opportunity to openly debate Senator Clinton on the issues important to Americans in North Carolina and Pennsylvania and hopes that she will accept these invitations as well,” Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton said in the release.

The Clinton release stated that "Hillary is prepared to show she has real solutions for the problems facing residents of the Keystone State." No word yet from the Clinton camp on the North Carolina debate.

paris1969, I know it''s hard to accept, but the powers that be have decided that hatred of white people by blacks is not racism. It is a justifiable reaction that we are not supposed to complain about.

Curious, that all of a sudden, baby Barack, our 3-year senator SuperStar is now interested in debates after losing Texas and Ohio and every other state with a sizable number of electoral votes, except for Illinois.
You don''t think his "change" campaign is making politically motivated decisions, do you?

Debate what? Obama has already decked Hillary. What more does he have to do to prove that he is the best man for the job? Somewhere in NY, Hillary, a lonely kitchen stove is calling your name. Step aside and wait your turn like everyone else. Try again in 2016, because Obama is what America wants--not you girl.

A gop president with mid 20s approval ratings.

A faltering economy due to 7 years of false GOP dogma

2 wars with no end in sight in Iraq and Afghanistan with one more in Columbia, and a possibility in Iran

$4 gas, sinking dollar, masive inflation, weak housing and job market.

A GOP candidate who is not liked by the republican base or by the conservative mouthpieces they use.

How could the democrats possibly lose?

I give you Hillary Clinton.

There is no possible way for her to have a majority of the elected delagates. There is little chance she could wind up with a +140 super delagate advantage prior to the nomination in CO. But she has commited herself to 3 more months of a campaign she will not win, cannot win except by overriding the will of the voters. She will for 3 months sling mud and raise questions on the eventual nominee for the Dems. For 3 months an estimated $120 million for both camps will be spent tearing apart the democratic candidates instead of focusing on the general election while John McCain builds support and defines himself on the cheap.

I thought the 2008 election was a lock for the dems, but Hillary would take down the party before she admits defeat.

Prepare for McCain in 2008, another 1 or 2 supreme court justices like Alitio, more war, more flawed economics, no healthcare, no progress.

Thanks Hillary.

"Ferraro is currently a lobbyist in New York with Blank Rome Government Relations."

Oh I see she''s really a lobbyist for Republicans and the military industrial complex now...

Here''s what Blank Rome''s own web site says about Gerry:

"On a slightly territorial note, however, the Washington Post.com reported, Geraldine Ferraro is heading back to D.C. or at least she be spending more time here . . . . The 1984 vice presidential candidate . . . adds a bit of Democratic flava to a firm known for its GOP ties; she also returns to town just in time for the latest round of the nation ready to elect a woman? interviews."

So when she''s out there raising money for the Clintons and being disciminated against because she''s white- is she really on a feminist crusade or is she trying to buy favors for Blank Rome''s big bucks clients?

What a joke- Hillary''s superdelegate Mr. Spitzer isn''t the only NY politician that understands prostitution....

What debate again? Hillary should concentrate on courting Republicans to vote for her in the Democrats primary since she is sure Dems won''t. But she should beware that they are not voting her because they like her. but because they are sure they can beat her in the Gen. election unlike Obama.

Glory Hallelujah! Obama is not a Muslim. His preacher screams and yells about the other race while praising Jesus. The preacher must be a Republican. Why does the FOX News droppings fuss about Wright but dismiss bigoted haters like Hagee and Robertson.
McCain says he does not agree with all that Hagee says and that ends the discussion. Obama says he does not agree with all that Wright says and the discussion switches from middle name absurdity to right-wing bigotry.

Losing Hilary Clinton is still in the campaign (and we all know why); yet the congresswoman mindlessly claimed to the effect, "Obama wouldn''t be where he''s at if he white man .... OR A WOMAN"!

Isn''t Hilary Clinton A WOMAN? lol
And isn''t Hilary Clinton the loser and very much in the same spot as Barack Obama, and getting as much media coverage as Obama?

There is no way that an American OF ANY ETHNIC GROUP OR GENDER could not have ran a similar grassroots campaign as Barack Obama.

Only, most US (master-servant) politicians rather run a ''top down'' campaign, where they treat the voters as extras in their campaign.
So to draw attention to pigmentation and gender and ignore Obama''s astuteness is ignorant and plain racist.

It is amazing that too many Americans are not bright enough to appreciate what a Harvard Law Degree and a university professor of Constitutional Law says about the intellect and capacity of one with such a lofty status.

How can someone be President of the United States when for the past twenty years he has been going to an "I Hate America" lecture every Sunday. I want a President who is committed to America 100%. Obama himself stated that he did support the committment to Africa. Just think of how "God *** America" will be played over and over and over again in Republican ads. The Democratic party needs to wake up and realize that we''re being sold a bill of goods where Obama is concerned. What has the man accomplished during his short time in the U.S. Senate? The Rev. Jeremiah Wright''s anti-American, hate speech sealed the deal for me and millions of other citizens of this Great nation. Wakeup American we do not need to have three mistakes in row. This Guy singing for 20 years %u201CGod *** America%u201D and now some people want to give him the honor to be president.
To insult our country and to *** our country, while this man enjoys the very blanket of freedom that I (being military) provide, is absolutely unforgivable. I would NEVER vote for Obama. Not even for the president of the PTA. I HOPE THE SUPERDELEGATES OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY TAKE A GOOD HARD LOOK AT THIS BEFORE THEY MAKE THE DECISION TO GIVE THE NOMINATION TO SOMEONE WHO SEEMS TO BE LACKING IN GOOD JUDGEMENT WHERE HE RECEIVES HIS SPIRTUAL GUIDANCE.

The Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama''s pastor for the last 20 years at the Trinity United Church of Christ on Chicago''s south side, has a long history of "inflammatory rhetoric," "The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing ''God Bless America.'' No, no, no, God *** America, that''s in the Bible for killing innocent people," he said in a 2003 sermon. "God *** America %u201CHere is his pastor of 20 years preaching anti-American, racial hatred, anti-seminitc, revenge-seeking language. That candidate wouldn''t last 15 minutes! (Neither should this one.) No wonder Michelle Obama felt so comfortable saying she finally has a reason to be proud of her country! Bet she hangs on every word her Pastor says! The hatred he spews toward whites is about as bad what the KKK is noted for spewing toward blacks. Neither has any place in this country.

What is quite clear after phone conversations, and compiling pages of research and newspapers articles on the subject, is that Mr. Obama made a deal in his mind with someone who became his political godfather because he could make his dreams come true. It''s clear from Rezko''s unwinding problems that Obama either didn''t care how his patron got the money, or ignored it as long as the political contributions and access to others contributions kept coming. Considering Mr. Obama models himself as Mr. Hope and promises that he''ll change politics in Washington, this shouldn''t be a minor part of the Obama story. It''s his record, which directly conflicts with the image he''s selling that many people have not only bought into, but invested their hopes in as well. The fact that Obama and Rezko were friends for years is also not a minor point. Of course, there''s certainly no crime in that, but while Rezko was involved in a political "pay to play on steroids," it''s alarming that Obama remained, as he''s portraying his role, witless about what was going on right under his nose.

Additionally, as a community organizer, then as a state senator, how did Barack Obama not know of buildings in his own district that were in such dilapidated state? As a community organizer Obama had to know what this meant for his district to have such slum areas go untended by a negligent landlord. Was he ignorant, careless, or looking the other way? Or is there another explanation? Obama also accepted donations from Rezko while his urban housing empire was collapsing. Do you know how long it takes to pull apart a housing entity like Rezko''s? Where was Obama during all of this?

Fast forward to today. According to the Chicago Sun-Times this past Sunday, Obama is the "unnamed ''political candidate''" referred to in one section of court documents:

Obama is not named in the Dec. 21 court document. But a source familiar with the case confirmed that Obama is the unnamed %u201Cpolitical candidate%u201D referred to in a section of the document that accuses Rezko of orchestrating a scheme in which a firm hired to handle state teacher pension investments first had to pay $250,000 in %u201Csham%u201D finder%u2019s fees. From that money, $10,000 was donated to Obama%u2019s successful run for the Senate in the name of a Rezko business associate, according to the court filing and the source.

Rezko, who was part of Obama%u2019s senatorial finance committee, also is accused of directing %u201Cat least one other individual%u201D to donate money to Obama and then reimbursing that individual %u2014 in possible violation of federal election law.
