Romney: McCain Is Like Clinton, Obama On Some Issues

(CBS)
From CBS News' Scott Conroy:

GLEN ELLYN, ILL. -- In an effort to build upon the anti-John McCain sentiment that exists in some conservative circles, Mitt Romney compared McCain to the two contenders for the Democratic nomination at a press conference this afternoon.

“I was impressed that yesterday Barack Obama said that Sen. McCain's position on illegal immigration was virtually indistinguishable from his,” Romney said. “I think it does make sense to have a candidate representing our party whose positions are distinctly different from the Democratic potential nominees. Mine are, and I'm proud of that.”

Romney later took his criticism a step further, saying that although he stands with McCain on a number of issues, the Arizona senator sides with Hillary Clinton on several other important matters.

“He's virtually indistinguishable from Hillary Clinton or Obama on a number of major issues our country faces,” Romney said.

*** ALERT ****

Tony Perkins and James Dobson of FRC (Family Research Council) value voters guide that I just received today clearly shows they are supporting Mike Huckabee for President.

Out of all the questions they asked of Republicans and Democrates, Mike Huckabee scored 100% in all questions.

It also shows that Mitt Romney''''s liberal positions are still showing through him in the questioning.

It says Mitt Romney supports human cloning and embryo destruction. Plus it says Mitt Romney would vote for passage to water down the Federal Marriage act of 1996.

Plus it says Mitt Romney will vote to allow passage of law that allows the Government to take away private land of it''''s citizens whenever it wants to.

Do Republicans want a liberal like Mitt Romney running our party or a true conservative like Mike Huckabee running our party?

It''''s clear that Tony Perkins and Dr. James Dobson are supporting conservative Mike Huckabee in the value votes results I just received today.

If you are a conservative who has admired what Tony Perkins and Dr. James Dobson has down for the nation, please go vote tomorrow for Mike Huckabee who they are clearly showing they are supporting.

Conservatives support Mitt Romney. Huckabee want''s to be McCain''s VP... how conservative is that? McCain is running on the promise to once again "reach across the isle". Wow, what a surprise! Do Republicans really want someone who will cave in to Democrats and abandon conservatives for the nth time? That''s John McCain all over. Just ask his preferred running mate... John Kerry.

Mitt Romney is the only conservative choice for President.

Clinton health plan may mean tapping pay

By CHARLES BABINGTON
Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton said Sunday she might be willing to garnish the wages of workers who refuse to buy health insurance to achieve coverage for all Americans.

The New York senator has criticized presidential rival Barack Obama for pushing a health plan that would not require universal coverage. Clinton has not always specified the enforcement measures she would embrace, but when pressed on ABC''s "This Week," she said: "I think there are a number of mechanisms" that are possible, including "going after people''s wages ..."

"GOING AFTER PEOPLE''S WAGES" ...

Wall Street is waiting for Americans to get it right. Nominating Mitt Romney will see a change overnight. The dip began when McCain and Clinton were named the top contenders. Mitt Romney is a man of personal integrity with an economic plan to keep America strong. He is strong on immigration. He has worked with nations all over the world when working with the Olympics. He has been a leader as a governor and with the Olympics rather than just a committee person. Why can''t the American people figure all of this out? Too many biases against Mormons and wealthy people??? Sad commentary if those are the reasons behind wishing for his defeat! Come on Republicans---get it right this time!!! No more old worn out war heroes---we need vitality in this party!!! Rally around Romney before it is too late!

McClintObama Amnesty Plan: 20 million illegal alien voters by 2010

Have GOP Voters forgotten that just a few months ago, John McCain stood hand-in-hand with liberal icon Ted Kennedy pushing for the largest amnesty for illegal aliens in American history? While Rasmussen polling showed that Americans following the legislation very closely opposed it 3 to 1 (69% to 23%), McCain ignored the massive public outcry!

The angry calls rolling into the Senate offices, including John McCain''s, were between 50 and 100 to 1 against McCain and Kennedy''s bill. ... Capital phone system shut down, due to overload of calls from angry Americans.

John McCain refused to listen to Americans and went so far as to call members of the Senate who refused to support the McKennedy Amnesty "Racists"! John McCain showed no regard for American voices and instead called those who disagreed with him petty names. Who was John McCain listening to? He was listening to the US Chamber of Commerce and the racist illegal alien support groups like La Raza (The Race) whom he openly coordinated the effort with.

John McCain has illustrated in dramatic fashion that when he feels safe in his office, he couldn''t care less about what a majority of Americans think.
