Chuck Norris Says McCain Might Be Too Old

(CBS)
From CBS News' Joy Lin:

NAVASOTA, TX - “Look at the presidents in the past. Look at George W. Look at how he’s aged in seven years. He’s aged 3 to 1 in seven years. Bill Clinton, he aged 3 to 1. Former President Bush, who I saw a lot – I saw him age in those four years,” Mike Huckabee supporter Chuck Norris told reporters at his Texas ranch during a fund-raiser for Huckabee on Sunday.

Norris continued, “I’m thinking now, if John takes over the presidency at 72 and, if he ages 3 to 1. How will he be in four years?...Can he handle that kind of pressure in that job?”

The 67-year-old actor-producer-martial-arts-expert said he has known “John” over twenty years and “loves” the guy. But, for him, deciding who to support for president came to a matter of “youth and energy, the vision and communication skills to make it work.”

The subject came up when a reporter asked Huckabee if it would be more effective to run a negative campaign than a positive one. Huckabee said, “it might be but then at the end of the campaign, what have you done. The phrase comes to mind, if you gain the whole world and lose your soul, what does it profit you.”

Norris, standing next to Huckabee, announced, "He doesn’t want to talk about it. I will," dealing some blows on Huckabee's behalf. The actor said he opposed Giuliani’s views on gay marriage and abortion and called Romney a “very shallow” candidate who campaigned with a “memorized script.”

Someone asked Huckabee if he agreed McCain was too old.

“Only John McCain and his hairdresser know for sure,” Huckabee joked; the two men are both balding.

“I think he’s got a lot of vigor. I think he’s a very capable man," Huckabee said. "I think what Chuck’s point is…it is a very stressful position…I don’t think he is, I’m not going to say he’s too old. I think he’s got a lot of inner strength; good genetic factors from his mom, so, I don’t know. I know more about whether I am fit to do it and I think I am. I’m 52 years old and I’m capable, ready, tuned up, everything but tanned.”

“So you’re ready to age 12 years in the next four?” a reporter chimed in.

“I’ve about aged 12 years in the last one!” Huckabee responded.

Is Chuck Norris really the best campaign advisor that Huckleberry can come up with?? If I thought he had any chance of winning I would be scared of who would make up his cabinet.

His win in Iowa came on the backs of local Churches who were fooled into a violation of their tax exempt status by using their pulpits and membership lists to convince their members to vote for the candidate who''s platform is religious bigotry along with a few other "minor" issues.

Has the guy ever explained all of his 13 ethic violations or how he was forced to return $70,000 worth of furniture he took from the governor%u2019s mansion? (that is a real question I am interested to know his defense if there is one)

I am a landscaper for a very wealthy gentleman in Orange County, California. He has 5 acres of land and a large house and several fine cars. He told me he made most of his money in the stock market. recently he told me he recently pulled most of his money out of the market because we were headed for a large stock market correction. It appears he was correct. He said he sold almost every stock he owned except for one company called AVASOFT (AVAF)

He told me to put some of my money in this company, helped me open up a stock account and so far it is doing great. Maybe one day I can attain great wealth such as the gentleman I work for...

Finally! Someone is talking about his age!

Huckabee is a guy I just don''t trust. The saying, "traveling minister with snake oil" comes to mind.
