Well, Kev... she looks good to these 30 something eyes. (call me)

I want to make some stupid joke, like, "I was watching this in the sports bar, and I realized, you''re right -- I''m not thinking at all! So I had them turn off the TV, and it didn''t get any better." But that would be too easy.

You are starting to look "old". Why would you wear a purple top with a black suit?? and that hair??cut it! you looked perky and fine on TODAY and now you look like an overstretched soccer grandma!!!

I agree, Katie. There is a bombardment of entertainment and TV just about wherever you go.

Go to the library and pick up a book. Panera. Barnes & Noble. But, no---leave the laptop and the cell phone and the Game Boy and the I-POD outside. Even these "safe houses" are being invaded by high-tech life distractors.

It is a constant battle to get my teenagers to ditch these "occupiers of time and souls" that we have allowed dominate our lives in the last decade.

When was the last time, Katie, that we had a chance to stroll on a trail with no one to listen to but a songbird and the one we love?

We have lost a valuable part of our humanity by making our constant companions these electronic masters with screens and bells.
