Flipping Over Oregon -- Literally!

I can't believe the summer is winding down and it's almost time for school to start. Our summer sure ended in an adventurous way. My family trekked all the way across the country to Oregon and the gorgeous Sun River Resort. Boy was it worth it! It's pretty cool to think that you can always try new things, even in your mid-40s, and that's exactly what we did.

We went horseback riding, whitewater rafting (more on that tomorrow) and canoeing up and down the Deschutes River. I've always been a beach person, but absolutely fell in love with the mountains, the sports, and the folks who devote their lives to enjoying the great outdoors. But what we will surely remember this vacation for was the inordinate amount of time we spent in the water instead of navigating it! Check out a few pictures of my canoe-tipping trip with my girls and my in-laws and out two faithful guides! It wasn't exactly a relaxing day, but a funny and precious one at that!
