Playing The Trump Card

Here's publicity-shy mogul Donald Trump, quoted in the Toronto Star, explaining the continuation of his endless, soul-crushing "feud" with Rosie O'Donnell:

“The real question is, `When’s it gonna stop?’ And I believe it only stops with you folks and when the media in general stops asking the question. Every question I get is about Rosie."

Seriously, media: When's it gonna stop? By the way, here's Trump's "open letter" to O'Donnell, which was released to the media January 9th, but only as a nice gesture, jerks. And here are his recent comments about O'Donnell, which happened to be made to a group of television reporters, which was probably just a coincidence: "She's a terrible, disgusting human being -- not very smart, and she's got a lot of problems, to put it mildly." And here's where he told a reporter O'Donnell is a "fat slob," a comment that was likely made in confidence, and he probably didn't even want it in the paper, only the reporter had to go and write it, which was totally not cool. And as Radar noted, here's Trump attacking O'Donnell on Entertainment Tonight, where he probably didn't even know the camera was on.

Really, press corps: Leave the poor guy alone. Put away your cameras when he arrives at your television studios. Don't open those open letters. Quit assuming that just because Trump calls you out of the blue to make on the record comments that he wants them out in public. Hasn't the man suffered enough? Haven't we all?

It is hard to understand why no one sees the true nature of this arguement. For a long list of reasons these two can never be close friends, at least in public. If you look at the telltale signs in relation to the fact they have the potential to be close friends because of similar interests, driving personalities and of course television careers. However since they can only admire each other from afar, the potent public fray seems to be a natural outlet. I dare not question how Ms Walters became so deeply entwined in this.
Call it what you like but what I see is a long distance lovers' spat.

Whatever happen to freedom of speech? The Don said how he felt. Rosie from what I see is atacking the Don every chance she gets. She's has freedom of speech too. It's up to the bigger person to say "Rosie who?" Or Donald Trump who?" And put the fire out. So they don't like each other. For me I quit watching the girl show when Meridith left. She was the sane one and human about how she felt. Star was the legal begal and did her job as she was trained to. Rosie is a comic so she's trying to get a laugh by attacking someone. Poor humor I say and so I don't watch it. Don's a big rich man talk money to him I'll listen. I don't even know what brought this on. Only someone wanted their rating to go up and it has?
Thank goodness the early show is still worth watching. And Along with Regis and Kelly. After that the tv goes off. Good night and good luck

I think both of them should be made to go and sit in the corner, wearing dunces hats. The way that they use the media for something as transparent as this. I guess when you have no worrys like how you are going to eat or pay your bills. You can forget the important things that are going on in the world right now. We have children dying in a War everyday! And they are upset about Miss USA. I think that Barbara Walters is going to regret her hiring of Rosie. She is to much personality. She completely over shadows the rest of the women. They sit their and look like they laugh on clue. And more important. Like they are afraid of what she is going to say next. If Rosie has made herself sometype of spokes person for the world. She needs to pick more important topic's, like AIDS killing most of Africa. And come on Donald Trump you keep your face in front of a camera. More then Brad Pitt, so I know you don't want us to believe you are that upset. Unless it was more about the way she defined your hair style.
