A good summary, Jill, but you missed a big one. Ryan's "Path to Penury" includes the same $716 billion in cuts to future Medicare costs that he and Romney are calling Obama's "raid on Medicare" (which he needed to partly fund his gigantic tax cuts for the rich), but the Spoiled Fratboy ticket is ALSO committed to immediate repeal of the Affordable Care Act...and that repeal would also eliminate that $716 billion. Not only that, but repealing ACA would eliminate the NEW benefits for CURRENT Medicare recipients -- preventive care and gradual elimination of the prescription-drug "donut hole" -- that a lot of seniors have discovered they pretty much like!
If Romney and Ryan are elected in November, we the American people are screwed! I don't agree with everything president Obama has done, but I feel that he is better for our future than these two.
Over 50% of the current deficit can be attributed to the Bush era tax cuts, funding for the Iraq and Afgan Wars, Medicare Part D, and increased defense spending. Mr. Ryan voted for all four.
This guy is nothing but a Tea Party Hack looking to make a name for himself. He does far more harm than good.
Look at history. We had (and still do) a great deficient reduction plan.
It was called the 2010 Simpson-Bowles Plan.
Ryan should remember it. He helped destroy it's passing in Congress.
But in typical GOP fashion, here comes Romney, pushing the Simson-Bowles Plan as his own.
Romney-Ryan, do us a favor. Just don't do anything. Stop trying to help with your amateur hour BS. We already had this fixed 2 years ago before Ryan screwed it all up.
Any comparison is invalid and lacks credibility. A real comparison, with validity and credibility, would be to put the House's passed budget plan against the Senate's plan, but wait, the Senate hasn't put forth a budget plan, required by law, for years. Even any criticism against the House's Plan is irrelevant because in order to criticize, one has to have a direct comparison to do so an non exists. At this point, the named Ryan Plan isn't what matters...what matters is what Romney will target. The media is once again playing blatant favorites. Shame, shame...

You two truly ARE part of the problem.
