Shame on you, CBS, for paying these people money for their stories after they ruined so many lives. Only their daughter-in-law deserves any sympathy.

I traditionally watch your program every Sunday. Tonight I choose not to. Because, I have absolutely no interest in hearing or watching what Mrs. Madoff has to say for herself. I find her nauseating. I'm guessing; the executive staff at 60 minutes missed this weeks deadline for a storyline?

They're out there now because there's a book coming out about the son who hanged himself.

Once a Madoff, always a Madoff.

Scott Pelley would've been a better interviewer for this Madoff story. Morley Safer needs to go to the makeup room and get his eyes softened(red around the rims). He looked a little scarey and it wasn't even a Halloween show.
I agree with the above comment that RedSox4Lifer left. Ruth should be left penniless and work like everyone else does. Like the investors are left with. Nothing!! No sympathy for greed!!!

I don't think the whole family should have to suffer for what the father did.I feel sorry for all of them.

Really, how could Bernie Madoff's wife and sons not know what their father was doing?
They too were in the brokerage business. They had to know that the returns their father was reporting in a market that was killing everyone else was fraud. Their mother was an accountant! 60 minutes you let us down tonight. These people were all culpable and the only one that wasn't a pathological lier killed himself from the guilt and grief he knew he helped cause.

I wish they would of went into detail of the investors, all trying to make large amounts of money thru this Wall ST. genius. GREED across the board and the interview doesn't change my perception of that family. Sorry for the loss of the son.

I believe Andrew. I don't fully believe Ruth. I don't buy the suicide pact even a little bit. That jewelry was mailed to stash away wealth, plain and simple. I am furious that Ruth was allowed to keep 2.5 million of other people's money. She should have been left penniless and made to get a job like the rest of America.

My heart is filled with sympathy for Ruth and Andrew. I believe that they are also victims of Bernie.

I cannot fathom what the other victims of Madoff's ponzi scheme are going through. I cannot imagine trusting someone with your funds and having them all go up in smoke.

I wonder if any of the financial victims have been reimbursed at all from the sale of the Madoff assets?

I'm so very sorry for everyone.
