Comments on: Obama on bin Laden: The full "60 Minutes" interview
- No one saw Hitler's body not a problem, no one dare ask Bush to show the dead bodies of other terrorist killed. But now the haters want the body shown so more US soldiers could be killed. We saw a President tonight and you better get use to it. We had a weak, lair, drunk/addict, none english speaking President. For 8 years Bush refuse to show the caskets of our thousands of dead soldiers because he said he didn't want to upset the American people. Look for the bottom to fall out when the truth about how many US officials knew where Bin Laden was really living. Pakistan workers for Musharraf and US knew but spread the lie about the cave. Cheney is already out fighting to save his CIA puppets from crimes he ordered them to do. Connie Rice is looking to save herself. Powell is silent and Rummy will only come out when his criminal orders are exposed. Bush made the image of Osama Bin Laden when all he was only a retired old leader hanging on and having sex with his 5 wives with the help of a viagra sauce. Bush gave his 10 years to enjoy life but his and Bin Laden would have been still alive if McCain had won. His nightmare was Obama became President and reopen the mission. President Obama showed his leadership by putting the Navy Seals safty first.

- Well Done Mr. President
I never waivered in my vote for a man who is smart and sharp as a razors edge.Hopefully this will put to rest to those who forestalled at economic disaster and now has succesfully ordered the killing of largest mass murderer since Adolf Hitler.THis president obvviously values our troops so much that he makes sure thier is back up plan upon back up plan. In this his profesorial manner probably was benefit along with his Hawaii coolnest.
This operation probably will eventually saved hundred of thousands of lives.(Future terorist plans will have to altered or ceased)
Listen to how he gives credit to his entire team. Can you imagine if the other team had been in office. Would the hard questons be asked. This was not an orchestrated interview as a small few suggested. This president wanted the facts out but not at the sake of beating ones chest to reveal secrets that would damage our future efforts. Will done Mr. President - Reply to this comment

- Thank You, Commander in Chief, for showing the world the meaning of Courage, Grace under Pressure, and the value of keeping your word. Inviting our previous commander-in-chief to ground zero was a gesture of respect and an attempt to build bridges on your part, his rejection in no way reflects poorly on you, sir. Your premature humility in accepting the Nobel Peace Prize demonstrates your true character you deserved it then, and deserve another now.
Job Well Done, you had my vote the last time, and you'll get my vote again. - Reply to this comment
- I do wish that Steve Kroft had asked Obama if he could now let up on the interrogators that Eric Holder wants to prosecute, the interrogators who provided the foundation for dealing with terrorists and UBL.
Apparently, Obama told the sister of one of the 9/11 pilots that he would not interfere with Holder's efforts to prosecute the CIA investigators/ interrogators.
Too bad. Sure leaves a bad feeling about the underlying motives for killing bin Laden. - Reply to this comment
- I was fine with the President's comments right until the end:
"Justice was done. And I think that anyone who would question that the perpetrator of mass murder on American soil didn't deserve what he got needs to have their head examined."
Mr. President, the great hope that America represents to the world is our almost unfathomable devotion to justice. Millions of would-be al Qaeda recruits would have become far less susceptible to their recruiters' portrayal of America as secular savages had we captured and tried bin Ladin, instead of asassinating him.
To that end, it would have been far better for you to have expressed a fervent desire for his capture (including your order to shoot to wound, not kill him unless absolutely necessary) if at all possible, so that through trial, conviction and punishment, people around the world could have witnessed once again just how exceptional Americans are.
The safety of our own forces must, even in this case, be secondary to the optimal completion of their mission. To conclude otherwise is to dishonor all of the other Americans whose lives have been sacrificed in that part of the world in pursuit of far less noble objectives. - Reply to this comment

- Those who teach leadership will do well to show this interview to aspiring leaders. They will see intelligence, the ability to analyze risk, the courage to listen to subordinates, and the guts to take well-measured risk.
