This story brought me so much joy to see these kids let it all out through music. Being a black man I can only say to fathers go and get your kids they need you.All men should. I wondered what are my daughters pain, even though they are grown I can't remember ever asking.I really need to know and we will listen. This broadcast let me really know that our children have so much locked up in them.Great segment 60 Minutes you nailed this one.

I thank GOD for Ms. Stahl and for Ms. Higginsen. I have a new respect for any and all efforts to uplift and inspire children all over this world. What a great show to those efforts from 60 minutes! Super!

Keep her away from American Idol! I hope she continues her education. Hers is an inspiring story. She is lovely, graceful, and has a great future ahead. Kudos to her grandmother. Lovely story.

I love the story and think it is a great cause. So is the mother in her life? I did not like how this story only portrayed absent fathers. The mothers where not there either. Please stop.

What a beautiful and haunting song that Yolanda wrote and sang. After hearing it tonight on Sixty Minutes, I immediately had the vision that that her song would be the foundation one day for a successful musical, sung in the old style, but telling a modern day story. I hope she has all successes in life. I hope at least one absentee father heard that song tonight and changed his involvement in his child's life because of it. She has a vision beyond her years.

The youth of this nation from east to west are expose to so many horrific situations, it doesn't matter what race, creed or faith belief, or region where these teenagers live, it's happening everywhere in America .. to the rich kids.. to the middle-class kids.. to the poor kids, all kids/teenagers are exposed to such horrific situation like these kids are. I thank Ms. Vi Higginsen for her efforts doing her part to hopefully change the future for these youths involved. If you care about such organizations as "Gospel Teen" then donate to their cause. You'll be blessed because of your effort to contribute to such a worthy CAUSE to help teenagers know their is hope and that PPL do care. I certainly plan to so organizations as Gospel Teen can maintain and maybe expand. Song (music) is universal and the FIRST language of praise given back to God almighty.
