Seems every thing can cause cancer these days. Even if you try to avoid everything and anything, it's still a risk. What isn't bad for you? Just when you think you've found something you can either eat or drink, Boom, someone reports it's bad for you. What gives.?
Decades ago, toilet paper came in white and several nice decorator pastel colors. Environmentalists protested the bleach used. Eventually, I think, a less harmful bleach was subbed in; you can even get unbleached TP from some environmentally correct manufacturers. Some years ago, I slowly realized, the pastel dyed toilet paper was no longer available. You can buy many novelty prints in TP, but in supermarkets it's all white. This happened without fanfare. I thought the colors were needless and wasteful, but probably had no effect on the outcome. Yet folks still buy toilet paper. I don't think anyone's going to claim pop is really good for your health, but it's not a toxic substance like gasoline, so doesn't need a color added to identify it, really. When you close your eyes to enjoy a tall cool one, the caramel color is irrelevant to your enjoyment. I sure don't need it. The containers are all properly labeled. Why are manufacturers wasting money on fake coloring? Is it possible they'll eventually stop using it to save money if for no other reason? If the public can accept white or unbleached toilet paper, why not "natural-colored" (i.e. colorless) pop?
[A spokesperson added that it was important to note a consumer would have to drink more than a thousand cans of soda a day to reach the level administered to rats that developed cancer in the studies.] ---------------------------------- sounds like a challenge ... where's kobiashi and joey chestnut?
FDA, Follow Da Acquisitions. Find the corporations who stand to make the most money out of health hazards in our food or in our medications and you'll find out who's acquired the FDA under the table.
Yeah, soda just caused massive obesity and all the health problems that come with it. It causes malnutrition in children and possible health problems in fetuses. Oh, let's not forget the diabetes epidemic. You should need a prescription to buy this stuff.
