What happened to the show - Hell's Kitchen? The episodes are no longer being aired. Does it have something to do with the fact that a Gordon Ramsey owes over two million dollars in New York state taxes?
A celebrity chef is no more responsible for these deaths than anyone else. The fact is, in the NJ chef's case, he was a poor business manager who overreached, got in too deeply, and rather than develop skills that would allow him to just accept that his setup was not working (I remember his restaurant very well & the debt he had incurred) he chose to leave his wife and little children behind. I sympathize with the desperation he must have felt but this one's not on Ramsey. Ostensibly, these owners seek his input on how to improve their businesses. He isn't their shrink!
It's also been reported that this gentleman was having an affair with his waitress/pastry-chef. His wife and 3 children must be devastated, and have my best wishes and prayers, as they have lost a father and husband, along with their privacy and dignity!
As much as I find Gordon Ramsey's language offensive,there is something I like about his shows. It is ridiculous however,to blame a TV show for a person committing suicide.Both of those people knew what they were getting into when the agreed to be a part of the shows.Ramsey seems to be intelligent, but, I was brought up being taught that foul language displayed a lack of education and vocabulary.
I always found it funny that people who limit their vocabulary and exclude certain words complain about others' lack of vocabulary. In any case, there are plenty of people who never swear and sound plenty uneducated, and plenty of people who DO swear who are incredibly educated. But I'm sure this is all falling on deaf ears; you've made up your mind that an arbitrary selection of words defined "bad" by society is offensive to use and you're not going to give it any rational thought one way or another because you can't think for yourself.

Neither of these people were youngsters...They were 39 and 41, not exactly tender teens. Ramsey doesn't use any language that they haven't heard or used themselves! Do you believe an owner or a head chef will speak sweetly to a bozo who ruins a 60 dollar steak or burns the peas? This is the world of adults and people like Ceiba and Astair10 need to grow up and give the rest of us a break.And astair10, how lucky you are to have had Jesus for your earthly dad...as perfect as he was. And as an aside,could you leave the song references out of any future posts as they do not do anything for your credibility. I have never seen a high pressure job that didn't involve a fair amount of cussing,it's part of the language so if you are so tender cover your ears or else do your job the correct way. The bottom line is anyone who has seen the first hour of Hell's Kitchen knows what it is all about and if you are tender,you leave and live happily ever after. Gordon Ramsey is not the defining moment in anyone's life, especially to a point where they choose to live or end it all! Wise up!!!
If Ramsey's yelling is so terrible that it isn't worth the fame or money, why do people seem to line up to endure it? Why do they almost always seem more devastated to be dismissed from the competition than they are to stay on? It's a trial by fire.
It's simply ridiculous to imply Ramsey has any culpability for Cerniglia's suicide. For one thing, as another pointed out, it's been three years. Second, his gratitude for his chance on the show was written in his obituary (I don't think his nearest and dearest would say that if they couldn't vouch for it). Third, I've watched every episode of Kitchen Nightmares I possibly could, and the vast majority of people on the show clearly feel as though they have been given a new lease on life in the end; their debt is what destroys them and their families, not a little swearing or temporary embarrassment.
The majority of reality programming is aimed at people who feel so badly about themselves, that they need to see others receive a constant "slap down" while doing their very best. If we don't watch this type of programming, it will go away.
The only "reality" shows worth watching? Ace of Cakes and Gene Simmons Family Jewels. No fighting, no arguing, no verbal abuse, just happy people getting along with one another :)
Perhaps one day some one will treat his children the way his treats these people. These types of programs are the most horrendous. They contribute to the dumbing down of our society. I would like nothing more than to see them all gone.
i love gordon ramsey. yes he's a d***, but he calls it like he sees it. he's not saying anything to them that isn't true. these people knew how he was before they agreed to do a show. anyone see "masterchef?" he was super nice on that one.
