Good for you! I have been using cloth diapers for 7 months now and still have not been brave enough to travel with them. Maybe it's lack of courage or maybe it's just laziness. You have inspired me!
That is great that you are putting forth such an effort, but wanted to correct you: If you are using Fuzzi Bunz and SoftBums and Rumparooz, they are POCKET diapers, NOT AIO's. LOL:) An AIO is an all in one where the insert is either attached to the diaper or sewn in. It does not come out completely and separate like a pocket diaper. An AIO would be the entire diaper so you wouldn't have needed inserts, hense the term "all-in-one". Also, I don't think you should link to specific stores that sell cloth diapers because it is not fair to all the other cloth diaper stores, (especially if they did not send you free stuff) :) But keep going and good luck. Just do a tad more research so you can be correctly describing the right kind of diaper, Pocket, AIO, AI2, Hybrids, ect.
Yay! I'm so excited you are feeling the fluffy love :) You will dig the disposable liners for travel too, very handy! We use covers (a waterproof outer) and flats (a simple folded up insert), along with disposable liners (can flush these) when we travel for less bulk. I just wash them when we get home and store them away. A cheap "travel" stash of sorts!
SO HAPPY to hear that you are enjoying this experience!! I just switched to cloth a couple months ago with my son who is now 7 months old. We will be traveling with cloth for the 1st time at Christmas and I'm a little anxious-- going from North Carolina to Michigan. I use pre-folds and covers so I don't think that the bulk will be a huge issue. I also have a small plastic tote (like you would pack away Christmas decorations in) to take with me to use as a "diaper pail"-- a good lid should work wonders on the 13 hour drive.
Also to comment on your earlier post in regards to them being more bulky, I thought so too when I first switched. We haven't had to go up a size in my son's clothes to make up for it, but he is considered under weight for his age-- he's very tall and thin. When you said your husband said it's the biggest diaper he has ever seen in his life, I couldn't help but laugh. My husband says that our son looks like an old grandpa when he wears his jeans with bulky cloth under it. haha! :D
Well first off its more than a few bucks....try like $2000 that you are literally throwing in the trash. But its more than that. It only takes a minute amount of common sense to realize that there are millions of diapers filling up our landfills every day. Im not a crunchy person per say... but im also not an idiot.
Yay, Natali! I'm glad that the cloth diapers are working so well for you! I'm so thankful that you took the challenge to give them a try - and that you are actually enjoying yourself, and that you are reporting the positives of the experience for others. I think that's as much as any cloth-diapering advocate could hope for! Good for you!
I'm so glad you're liking it so far. The first trip with cloth is probably the hardest because you've never done it before. Just like the first trip with a baby in tow was probably the hardest! They are definitely more bulky to travel with...especially with All-In-Ones and Pockets, but traveling with a baby's inherently more bulky too. lol
Gone are the days of hopping into the car and going at the spur of the moment. The joys of parenting. :-P

But for on the road my advice is a diaper like gdiaper, or flip. That way you can dispose of the yucky parts in an environmentaly friendly way.
Good luck!
