C'mon Stein, get real. Virtually everyone else in this country has made a sacrifice, economically, over the past decade. Now it is time for the people making over $250K to do so. All that is asked of them is to relinquish a tax cut funded by the Chinese. Hang in there Stein, I know you'll be able to make it. And, I know you are ready to help the country you claim to love.

This may be the first sensible article Mr. Stein has ever written!

The upper tax brackets don't really target "the rich." Wake up people! The super-wealthy like John Kerry and John McCain don't have very much earned income. They live on savings and investment income.

It's upper-middle class WORKING Americans that are hit by these increases. People who are highly skilled and who work their ***** off. Doctors, small business owners -- some of the most PRODUCTIVE members of society. They also provide jobs for people with fewer skills. Walk into a doctors office and look at how many secretaries/assistants a single MD can hire.

You tax these people too much and they'll simply stop working. Why spend 60 hours a week at the office when half your income is going to morons in Washington DC?

Of course, in order to cut taxes, government spending will need to be drastically reduced. I'm not holding my breath.

Gee, Ben, my heart bleeds for you. But you know damn well your taxes aren't being "raised." The breaks you were getting have simply expired. What did you do to deserve those?
