- It's called standing up for out freedom and our innocent woman and chidren who were killed by terrorists, just because we are hated. Why because were the only Country who stands up for what is right and defend the innocent. If we don't stand up for ouirselves no-one else will! God Bless Americans

- I'm so tired of Americans being the bad guys, even by our own president. We are not loved or respected as being a American citizen. Sad isn't it? Just think what he has done so far, nothing but tear America apart. Conflict among our own people, what would you call that? I pray for our Country.

- As always when I read comments on a political topic, I am torn between being amused at the ridiculous statements made by some people and being frightened by the simple-mindedness and ignorance I see. My hope continues to be that it is not representative of Americans in general.
A perfect example of this (both the humor and the scariness) is bcderick's post.
The scary part? Look at some of the vocabulary: "gibberish," "worthless," "clown," "moron." When I read these sorts of posts I fear for our ability to continue to have intelligent and civil discussion about anything. These words sound as though they are coming from the sort of person I would expect to aim a pistol at me if I accidentally rear-end his car.
The funny part? "Cheney was VP for 8 years and has held high political positions for 35 years." That is supposed to make me feel... what exactly? That I should somehow hold his opinion in higher esteem? If anything, it just underscores the need for passing everything he says through a very critical filter. I'm sure the same argument would not hold water if used to defend a politician with whose views bcderick does not agree. We are, after all, talking about a politician here.
If we are ever to break out of our current spiral into ever more polarized name-calling at the expense of real debate over real issues, we are going to have to start learning to think for ourselves instead of automatically and mindlessly defending whatever group we (for some reason that escapes me) seem to think we have to claim as our own. Keep this up, those of you who seem to love to spew venom, and you will soon see how easily angry words thrown over the walls you have built can become grenades. - Reply to this comment
- Cheney kept W alive for eight years. That is one of the roles of a vice president. No one could fathom having Cheney as president. He deserves an award - and even he is entitled to his opinions - however when is the media going to stop torturing this man? He's being portrayed as the arch villan in an old silent movie - while Obama saves Nell from being run over by the train.

Geezus.......that mean ol media will probably let him be when HE......sits down and shuts the heck up!! He reeked while he was in office but now all of a sudden he is spot on? I say send him to Spain. They can try him for war crimes. (and they want to do just that) - Reply to this comment
- What makes the right wingers think they have all the answers? Name calling and spouting reports without absolutely any proof. Go crawl back into your bunkers...grab your blankies and hide under the bed. We used to be called the home of the brave but I fear we have become a nation of snivelers, afraid of or for our own hides. Buck up righties!! The sky really ISN'T falling.....

- Note to evilbusheviks:
Bond holders of the American automibile industry are being stripped of their investment, and threatened by the Obama administration to stay quiet about this theft.
Obama's administration released a faux Homeland Security terrorist report naming returning soldiers, pro life proponents, and others as potential terrorists, and sent that report to local law enforcement officials. Now he is working to get the power to detain such named terrorists indefinitely.
States are forced to buy more expensive, less reliable American made products if they accept 'stimulus' funding as Obama demands that they must not purchase products from countries such as Canada.
Obama continues to work behind the scene to get the Fascist Doctrine passed so he can shut down any communication outlet that he doesn't agree with.
Obama releases only parts of secutiry information in his continuing efforts to attack Americans who disagree with him. He has refused to release complete documents as those would prove he is a liar.
He continues to threaten the press, thus the ObamaMedia lives on.
Want more?
Got proof?? Give me a BREAK!!! - Reply to this comment
- Cheney is an abominable COWARD, who did not DARE open his mouth during the whole 2008 election year while sending thousands of young Americans to die, and is speaking out only now when he has nothing to lose.
The terrorists killed 3000 people, while CHENEY and his cabal killed 5000 young Americans and maimed 100,000 soldiers, for life, and wiped out 1 million Iraqi civilians(mostly women and children). This man is a PUKE. - Reply to this comment
- Dear Mr. Cheney,
Why is it worse to have watched the destruction in 9/11 from a bunker under the White House than to have watched it sitting in your own living room? The images are the same, no matter where you sit.
There's the problem with Cheney. It's always about HIM.
There's been far too much attention focused on this greedy draft-dodger. When are we going to put the last loser administration out to pasture so we can start focusing on the current loser administration? - Reply to this comment
- Let Cheney do the right wing radio and TV circuit routine. He still knows how to throw red meat to the fringe right wing radical and dittoheads. The greatest blessing for our nation is that he is doing it "OUTSIDE" of the White House. Him and his cronies did more to harm our country than any terrorist ever has. Now It looks like he wants us to go on another "Crusade" like in the middle ages and wipe out the infidels. His five military service deferrals show all the patriotism I need to sum a person up. That's why the "Chicken Hawk" label. He take us to war in a blink of an eye but not endangering himself or his ouwn family. Only with sons and daughters of the "peons". Then he throws them under the bus while at the same time tries to justifies torture at the head of state level. He needs to let the Abu Ghraib enlisted folks out of jail and put some his cronies who authorized and encouraged it into jail in their stead. He's a pathetic lose.
