- Those people did not write the tax code. They were the ones that answer the phone to help people figure out how to do their taxes.
Now the phones are burned up and people that need questions answered will have to wait longer to get their questions answered.

- Wonderful. We have the latest (and craziest) martyr being praised as a hero. One person is dead because of this, and many others seriously injured. What's there to celebrate? First of all, flying a plane in to a building to prove a point is hardly anything to elevate someone to hero status. Secondly, does anybody seriously expect the IRS to change now that some nut-case ran his airplane through their offices? What makes this different than 9/11 or the Oklahoma City bombing? When people start celebrating and advocating violence, that makes us no better than the terrorists that we're supposedly hunting down.

- It's hard to believe anyone could believe this crazy was a hero. But there was a real hero that day. It was Robin De Haven, the Iraq War veteran, who just happened to be there with a ladder on his company truck. He used the ladder to save a number of people from the building.

- Conservatives could learn a lot from Tiger Woods' wife Elin, Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty said at the Conservative Political Action Conference today.
"She said, I've had enough," Pawlenty said. "We should take a page out of her playbook and take a 9-iron and smash the window out of big government."
And idiots like Pawlenty can't explain why someone would take their plane and fly it into an IRS building in Austin, effectively "smashing out the windows".
But that pales in comparison to the jokes that are being made at CPAC about the plane attack, while the building hasn't even finished smoking yet. - Reply to this comment
- This was a monster, who hoped to kill as many people as possible, just because of their employment. Taxation without representation plays no part here, as we have elected representatives. Don't want to pay taxes? Fine, but make no use of the social and physical advantages provided by tax dollars. You are welcome to live as hunter-gatherers in the desert; no roads, schools, fire department, clinics, water, sewage, or justice. Do I enjoy paying my taxes? Of course not, but those are the dues I pay to live in a decent society, and it's worth every penny.

- If anyone had read the "suicide" note that Joe Stacks left, it would be very apparent that he favored communism, not capitalism. So therefore he was a Left-winger. If he's a Left-winger, then why are Left-wingers trying to paint him as a Right-wing extremist? Last I recall, communism was a cause of the Left-wing extremists in this country. Get a life and grow up Left-wingers. It was one of your own that committed this act of terrorism. I don't support what he did, but, I can understand his desperation. The IRS has terrorized innocent Americans in this country, who have been down on their luck and couldn't pay the outrageous taxes and fines that were levied. The IRS has acted without mercy like jackbooted thugs at times. Perhaps they are getting back some of what they have dished out over the years? I have no respect for those who work for the IRS. I guess you IRS workers will only say "I'm just doing my job." The Nazis said at their Nuremberg trials that they were "just obeying orders."
