- I hope ALL the kids are in foster care -- and not just given to the grandparents as is so often the case -- the grandparents who raised these wonderful parents. But I can just imagine the outcry if the sensible thing -- a tubal ligation for Mom and an irreversible vasectomy for Dad, and denial of the right to retain, adopt or foster children -- were done.

- I think once the investigation is complete, the cops will find this in more complex than originally reported. I agree the mom looks a bit 'overnourished' to be starving her daughter. She needs maybe a bit of the same treatment she prescribed for the daughter. Dad needs to be asked why he let momma do this to his daughter. Oh, maybe he's just scared of momma, cause she outweighs him by 100 pounds.

- When are we as a society going to stop accepting this kind of treatment for our children, yes "our" children? These children are powerless, voiceless innocents with the misfortune of being born to the wrong parents. There should be a special prison for those that abuse our children, physically, mentally, or emotionally. In most states there is a presumption in the law that the biological parent's are almost sacred .... and that is a false presumption. Being physically able to reproduce does not make a person a fit parent.

- I'M HOPING THE PARENTS GET TO SPEND A FEW YEARS IN A CLOSET (JAIL CELL) TO SEE WHAT IT'S LIKE (EXCEPT JAIL WILL BE AN IMPROVEMENT ON THEIR DAUGHTER'S CLOSET.)

- Guess mom wanted to make sure she always had extra food for herself. Really, if it was that big of a problem, maybe the couple should have stopped having kids after number three. I still advocate for a two child limit. And reading things like this makes licensed breeding seem like a better idea all the time.

- This just makes me sick!! As I've said before some people should just not have kids, problem is you don't know who they are till they have kids. Hope the child is in a better home. And good for the brother that spoke up!!!
