Wait, wait, don't tell me... Republican? Christian? Palin supporter?

3 for 3.
======================================

Not too sure about that.

From the 'pen' of Paul Shirley:

"More recently, I could point to Bush's own Patriot Act as an example of a piece of legislation that, had it been enacted... Wait. Oh, that's right, that fine idea came to fruition. I forgot about the fact that scare tactics override all else as a motivator. And that the general public is inherently stupid. And that even though the Act severely restricts individual rights and puts the US on a fast-track to an Orwellian destiny, the Joe Rednecks of the world stood up and said, "Rights? I'm willing to give up my own personal rights, if it means more freedom around the world." (Think about the blasphemy found in such a statement.)"

"If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem."

Shirley you've heard that.

"Could you not resort to the creation of flimsy shanty- and shack-owns?"

Say that to Shaq, next time you see him, face-to-face.

"I don't think the guy with the sign that reads "Need You're Help? is going to do anything constructive with the dollar I might give him."

What a maroon.

Lend him a few bucks and he could buy a condom with it, Einstein.

Shirley you jest.

Just because you didn't have the talent to be competitive in the NBA, that's no reason to take it out on the Haitians.

And another thing. If you're going to paint millions of Haitians with the broad strokes of ethnic stereotype, you should have signed your little diatribe with your own name. And not presumed to speak for "The Rest of the World."

The poor Inuit communities of northern Alaska pitched in and raised $90,000 for Haitian relief. They deserve a better spokesperson than you.

Dear rest of the world, read the damn article before you start lambasting him based on snippets posted here. Could his delivery have been better? Absolutely. But it's a conversation that is worth having. And IT IS NOT racist. And I am not even saying he is right - for crying out loud, I read his article in its entirety and still donated. Just because I (or you) don't agree with him doesn't make him a monster. Stop being lemmings you morons, go read what he actually wrote and engage in the conversation.

The hypocrisy of this is that Haitian travails were happily ignored, if not worsened, before this event by most. Not to worry though...the world will patch Haiti back together, more or less, and we can get back to starving and killing each other....

That is wrong, many pp. are dead, many pp. are hurt, many pp. are along, all their family dead. This is not the time to talk like that. this is the time to help.
Ppl that who think like that never have experienced love in their heart or family.
There is time for everything, this is time for helping heal the wound, not to talk **** about he pp., if this was in London reaction would have been different.
