Elsewhere it was reported that upon arrival at the Oakland Zoo, the alligator made a special request for beer, pizza, a lighter, and rolling papers.

[Alameda County deputies entered the home of 32-year-old Assif Mayr where they found 34 pounds of marijuana and the five-foot alligator in a tank in the bedroom]
-------------------------------------------------------
he'll be able to claim that the dope belonged to the alligator ... since it was in the tank with him.

The treatment of the alligator is a greater crime than possession of the marijuana, which will become legal in the not to far future in all states.
