- Urgent message for A.G. DeWine:
Please learn a lesson from former Attorney General of Pennsylvania Tom Corbett : Do not allow authorities in Steubenville to cover-up or impede a rape investigation.
When the news broke last year that Tom Corbett (when he was Attorney General) did little to prosecute Sandusky at Penn State, he ruined any opportunity to continue in an elected position. Corbett was already Governor when the Penn State story broke last year but he will never survive a bid for reelection because of his inaction.
Attorney General DeWine, please ensure that no one is above the law. The public will be unforgiving if you do not seek justice. ALL THOSE INVOLVED NEED TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE INCLUDING ADULTS WHO MAY HAVE ASSISTED IN A COVER-UP.
Please consider that there are more voters who care about justice in this matter than those that care about protecting rapists and rape culture.
Thank you in advance for your careful attention to this case.
Sincerely.

- coucou,
he had to think before speaking. Rape is a serious crime, joking about this subject will help to minimize it, worse encourage it.

- [McNamara said the man, who he referred to as "Michael," is not a suspect in the investigation and was not present at the scene of the alleged attack.]

ahhh ... he was on the other side of town ... yea yea ... that's the ticket ... the other side of town ... nowhere near the party ... didn't see anything ... just heard about the whole thing ... six degrees separated from the actual incident ... and fifty miles in-between.
he's completely innocent ... and regrets anything that he may have said that might be construed and insensitive or derogatory. - Reply to this comment

Is there anyone on here that wouldn't be embarrassed at things they said when they were this age? They don't understand the girls feelings and are trying to be cool in front of their friends. All you perfect people need to lighten up.

Lighten up?
What are freakin insensitive ridiculous callous thing to say. You must be a man.
Yes everyone has said something that would be embarrassing like saying something about someone's new hair cut or perhaps your unfortunate comment would embarrass most people....BUT THIS IS RAPE!!!!
Rape is not a joke gone wrong. It is not something to just get over like crossing a bridge. - Reply to this comment
- It is Illegal however to witness a crime and fail to report it, depending on the degree of the incident he could face a good amount of Jail time. I just need to say if any of you said stuff like this at his age, you should take care of yourself accordingly. I've said stupid things but nothing even close to the degree this POS did. It can't even compare.

- Give him a break and lighten up? Really? How about if it were YOUR sister, mom, daughter or girlfriend?
Of course he REGRETS it-he got caught and has embarrassed himself, his family and jeopardized his education. It's virally public and everyone knows his face. Anyone can say sorry. Sure it's what his attorney tole him to say.
Now, if he demonstrated some genuine REMORSE-that restore him to 'decent human' status. - Reply to this comment
- "He sincerely regrets his behavior and the effect it has had on all parties involved, especially his family."
Inbreeding. Note he doesn't say a word about remorse for the victim.
Life, no parole for all of them. Throw their loser parents in prison too. - Reply to this comment
- I saw the video that was not blocked and this kids was NOT that hammered. He was making joke after joke about how "dead" the girl was..and how she had been "raped like no one had been raped before". Using numerous other women's names that had been in the news, Nicole Simpson was jut one of them so I don't see how he was THAT bombed. Yeah I'm sure the little B.as.ard is sorry he got caught showing what a soulless moron he is. The only hope is that teens and young adults continue to be stupid and callouse enough to put these crimes online so they get their just desserts as well.

- He's ashamed and embarrassed "especially for his family." What about the backlash it caused for the victim? It's always amazing how they can do this horrible stuff and joke about it, then once an attorney has been paid off, suddenly they're remorseful. Yeah right. If my son made any sort of jokes about someone getting raped, he'd have my foot so far up his backside he wouldn't be ashamed and embarrassed - he'd be in pain! I wonder how he'd react if that was his sister - or down the road - his daughter?
