- This is the first decent and "good news story" I've read in awhile. Like a breath of fresh air.

- I have always admired the kind of folks who defend our communities as police officers and defend our country as military personnel. I have a father, two uncles, and two first cousins who served in those capacities and I can see every one of these men doing the same caring acts as this fine Plano officer. This is happening all over the world but typically we will never know about it.

- if he could not afford to register his vehicles how can he afford insurance? i bet he is driving without insurance and maybe when or if he gets into an accident, someone else will bail him out.

- We can only have faith in humanity, what is the alternative? Can we please go back to referring to law enforcement officers as such?!? There is no reason anyone in the media should use anything else.

- It must have been a warning ticket only, because a regular ticket would cost much more than that $100.

- It's awesome to see a story about kindness and giving. It seems there is no good left out there sometimes and this shows me that yes there are a few great people out there!
