And meanwhile, Boston has some stations (at parking spaces) where electic car owners can recharge for free.

How many cell phones can be recharged using the same amount of energy needed to charge one electric car?

These ignorant cops! And then they wonder why there are so many cop killings in Fla. Hmmm ?? I wonder WHY?

This is like the mean little bully ya knew as a kid in your neighborhood. The kid that would pik up an innocent little grasshopper and just pluck his legs off one at a time--simply because he COULD. This is exactly what was happening in this story. Sad. But whats even sadder is the karma (whether he believes in karma or not) that will come back to this pig of a cop--when he very least expects it :))

This is so stupid! Exactly how many megawatts does it take for 'theft of public utilities' to charge a cell phone? I'm not an electrician, so pretty curious how many pennies this would steal. Sounds like a bully on the prowl - I mean beat.

@GottaLuvitt : where I live the outlets in the pavilions are there (along with sink-countertops-drainboard) for use of parties who RENT them. The rental fees are ~$100 for a Saturday afternoon.
HOWEVER, anyone can use the area when it's not rented out. There are also covered picnic tables with NO electricity or running water--these are free+on used on a 1st come 1st serve basis.
IMO if the city doesn't want people using electric outlets they need to take the responsibility of making sure the outlets are OFF.

So this cop should arrest himself for wasting the time of the judicial system in this bad economy. What a mega fool.

It is a power socket for public use. So the arrest was unwarranted.

seriously a public park with an accesible outlet? I would have used it also. Wow what a waste of tax payer dollars. Good job Florida.
