- Was there no one in the apartment that could restrain this kid, or better yet, knock his a$$ into next week, to prevent him from harming the dog? I know that regardless of his age and size, I would NOT have just stood by and let "little Junior" do what he did!!! I agree with so many posts I see here, we haven't seen the last of this monster because he has just begun his criminal career and by all means, the adults that stood by and allowed this crime should be prosecuted as harshly, if not harsher, than the boy!!! In addition, they should be prosecuted for resisting, obstruction and witness intimidation for having interferred with the 911 caller's report on the phone! What on earth has happened to our judicial system in this coutry? I pray for generations to come!

- The parents are entirely responsible for what was a horrible, tortuous, slow, painful death for that poor dog. A twisted kid like this must have already shown signs of his sociopath personality and they just ignored it. They should never have allowed him to have a dog or be near any defenseless animal or small child. And don't give me that crap about how he can be treated and saved. A kid that blithely states he simply wanted to see an innocent animal die and watch the animal write in agony is not salvageable and a threat to society. He should be placed in an institution for the rest of his life where he can't harm anyone else.
