- They ought to jail the lawyer with the criminal for taking a stupid case like that.

- The best in a longtime was the thief who escaping from an attempted crime fell through a defective roof and sued and won. This was in CA. Long live 'justice.'

- As my attorney uncle always told me, make sure they're dead, and if they happen to fall outside your house, drag them back inside.

- Once you break in to someone's home all bets are off. We don't have to play by any Marquess of Queensberry rules when we catch you.

- Everyone has the right to sue anyone over anything. That does NOT mean the case holds any water. I believe the media is blowing this out of proportion.

- I think that if he would have killed the intruder it would not have had to go any farther that it has so far. This to me means that if I somehow get myself in similar situation and I get the chance to kill my intruder when I am at home you can bet the Sun. I will KILL INTRUDER. I do not have time to be going to court over something as stupid as this and then I will sue the State if they try me for murdering someone that broke down my door/kicked in the window/climbed in through the chimney/dug under my house and pop through the flooring/crashed his car to gain access to my dwelling/used a transporter device to materialize into my house/used a time machine to wink himself into my castle/created an alternate universe and made himself God so that he has what he believes Supreme Authority over me to invade my domain I will KILL INTRUDER PERIOD.

- Assuming the news report is completely accurate about what happened (VERY LARGE ASSUMPTION) then the lawsuit will go nowhere and is yet another example completely out of control lawsuit legal system.
Also, this is yet another example of why we need to make guns as difficult to obtain as is possible. The guns, in the case of both parties, only made the situation worse for both of them. I'm sure, given hindsight, sure Mr. Leone would gladly trade his valuables for having not been shot in the face. - Reply to this comment
- If the system works right this case will last just long enough for the Judge to dismiss it with extreme prejudice and to admonish Cutrufelli's attorney for bringing frivolous cases. Probably not going to happen, but one can hope.
