The state has a monopoly on violence. If an ordinary person were to kill someone, they would likely be charged with murder and summarily killed. The state can authorize working class youth in this country to go and kill working class youth in other countries. It can execute the innocent as well as the guilty in state authorized retaliation murders, leaving families to suffer the loss of their loved ones. Capitalism causes crime, whether it be white collar or the crime of the street thug. The police, the military and the courts are all tools of the state and the state and its media protect the actions of its police who hold the front line in protecting the interests of the .01 percent. The police are trained to shoot to kill and everything is perceived as a threat.

Naked, unarmed , 135 pound teenager , against well armed cop. Unless there was an immediate , imminent threat to the cops life, or to the life of a bystander , the killing cannot be justified .

None of you have a clue. Did you all go to the same college?

I graduated from that college. The cops were d*cks back then. They ar hired becuase they couldn't score high enough on their cop tests and couldn't get on with the PD or Sheriff Ofiice. They are power hungry and they will be quick to tell you they are State Troopers or State Officers but they are the flunkies of the police academy. They are gun happy. They only carry guns? On a colleg campus? They think they are herding cattle or something. South Alabama University Police suck. The cop is a killer and should be punished. What's next? I remember a few years ago, a South Cop ran over a student who was off campus meeting someone in a private parking lot to sell thm a term paper. The officer said it looked like a drug deal, questioned the two and the guy asked if he was under arrest and the officer said no, so the guy left on his bicycle. The cop jumped in the car and hit him on his bike, chasing him to his house where the Mobile Police tossed tear gas into the house to end the standoff. All because of an over zealous wanna be campus cop. This is a clear case of murderby cop. I hope they fire this killer. Where was his humanity? Why couldn't the officer contain the situation and retreat and return with a taser (They dont have) or additional backup? No, he wanted a confirmed kill. He got one. Congrats to a killer college!

the only way to find LSD in the system is to do a spinal tap, anyways, if the kid was unarmed he should not have been killed...end of story. The cop who shot him should go to prison, maybe not for life but just to think about the fact he killed an unarmed barely legal adult...Ive done lsd multiple times and id do it again if I didnt have to follow the system id still be tripping my balls off and having a good time......I dont know why he went crazy, some people should not do drugs.

If the "authorities" are claiming he was on LSD, then why don't that back up their claim with some facts.

There's no way they could have done toxicology testing this fast so it must be based on eye witness accounts.

Let's here who those eye witnesses were and what they saw.

And LSD does not make you act like that.

Other recreational drugs can but not LSD.

And more to the point who cares if he was using a recreational drug.

Does that in any way justify shooting someone in the chest who is simply "challenging" a peace officer.

Remember he never actually attacked the officer.

He just "challenged" him.
