- those of the WW2 generation, like Earl, are the greatest generation to date. they along with allies fought the germans, the italians, the **** until they all surrendered. think extremely high of all WW2 combat veterans.

- Entering thru a dog door big enough to crawl through? Not very smart.

- one less piece of garbage to have to dispose of. If an intruder has the nerve to break in with knowledge the resident is at home, you'd better be ready to dispatch them, they're not their to chat with you. what good will a 911 call do for you under the circumstance?

- Gotta love how the pic shows a gun with a crime scene tape as if using the gun was the crime. Shouldn't there be a robber's mask with a hole between the eyes?

- This story has to be all lies. The anti-gunners will tell you NO ONE EVER is safe in their home with a gun, and NO ONE EVER successfully defends their property with a hand gun. It just don't happen, does it antis?

- BEST PART OF THE WHOLE STORY..."I didn't go to war for nothing. I have the right to carry a gun. That's what I told the police." This man did not go to war so others could steal from him! If every person fought back then the criminals would think twice.

- he crawled through the doggy door, he needs a new dog. More details on why he didn't get them all, doesn't make sense about them dragging the body out. I doubt if a 92 year old would have a fear of dying, if he does he's got a problem. Anyway, job well done.
