I am weary of these news stories that yak about miscellaneous details of that night. The big question is WHY THE H*LL HASN'T ZIMMERMAN BEEN ARRESTED YET???? The man admits to killing a kid!
Whether in self defense or not is for a jury to decide. It is gross incompetence and/or extreme racial bias that is causing all the many investigators at the federal and state level to not arrest GZ. They've had whole teams of people supposedly intensively looking into the situation for at least two weeks now for cripes sake, and they haven't yet uncovered reasonable cause for arrest???

I'm not black, and it is obvious to me that racial bias is the reason Zimmerman isn't being arrested. I can only imagine how black people must feel about it.

Whether there was a physical altercation or not is rather immaterial. Zimmerman, whether justifiably or not, thought Martin was suspicious and notified law enforcement who clearly told him not to pursue. Had Zimmerman done what he was told, remained in his vehicle, and waited for police this event wouldn't have even qualified as a back page story in the local weekly. BUT, because Zimmerman wanted to play badass, a kid is dead and I suspect that at some point Zimmerman will be indicted for involuntary manslaughter. I suspect the brothers at Stark won't treat Zimmerman very well if he is convicted.

To understand the Trayvon Martin vs. George Zimmerman case, you need to listen to the recorded phone call made by the neighbor to 911.
The fatal shot is heard during this call.
Merely listen to it.
Then draw your own conclusions.
No need for experts. No need for pundits. No need even for an open mind.
Just listen to the haunting call.
A transcript won't do. It must be heard.

Another bit of food for thought that I'll toss out here for consideration. How many of those saying "don't rush to judgement" felt that OJ was guilty while the investigation in that case was still underway? No, the cases are not the same, but the principle IS. Quite frankly, I'll admit I thought he was guilty and still do.

I don't live in Florida. I'll never be considered for a place on Zimmerman's jury (IF it ever even comes to that). But I have my right to put 2+2 together as I see the facts come in and have a right to express myself in the "court of public opinion". At the very least, I think it's scandalous that Zimmerman has not yet been charged and arrested. If Martin had been YOUR son, how would you feel about that?

I agree w/ many post here that Zimmerman should have stayed back. But there are still a TON of things that NONE of us know as to exactly what went on that night. All we can do is surmise, there are two people that know what happened and one is dead. So most of you that are talking like you were there & witnessed the whole thing (which you didn't) shut the hel# up.

The only thing we know is this,...T.M very well may have been trespassing or worse (or maybe not). A security guard G.Z. (on duty or not) saw something that HE felt was amiss. He followed too closely/aggressively (which he should not have done). The next chain of event we do NOT know.... did T.M. get pissed that he was being followed/harassed & lash out & attack?? or did T.M. do nothing, keep walking & got ambushed by a flipped out/get scared G.Z.??? We don't know. All we know is that one G.Z. shot T.M.

Now the survivor is saying he feared for his life & was protecting himself from either an apparent imminent assault or was actually being assaulted (& right now who started what is immaterial to my argument) which he has been stating since the moment was detained. Now there may be evidence that a gash/cut/bruise/etc may be present to corroborate his version of the story... For T.M.'s family attorney, Jasmine Rand, to make a statement "that it doesn't matter what the videotape shows" is just stupid; and the rest of her argument/statement is immaterial, subjective & not supported by fact.

I wonder what the responses would be on here had Zimmerman been black and Martin had been white. I know my feelings wouldn't change one iota. What about yours? Food for thought, just sayin'. And don't tell me I'm playing the race card (I'm white, btw)--if you can't HONESTLY ask yourself that simple question, you have no business commenting.

forensics experts have determined that the voice hollering on the 911 tape IS NOT THE MURDERER!

this police dept had to lie to cover their lack of actions because of other corruption brought to light such as the officer in charge of the crime scene also received criticism in 2010 when he initially failed to arrest a lieutenant's son who was videotaped attacking a homeless black man.
the police chief was fired as a result!
