"permits residents to use deadly force if they "reasonably believes it is necessary to do so to prevent death or great bodily harm to himself or herself or another or to prevent the commission of a forcible felony"

The problem is, this guy had no probable cause whatsoever. Let the grand jury decide what 'reasonably' is. This law isn't the problem here.

There is a distinction between self defense, vigilantism, and murder under the guise of either.

The fact Zimmerman followed Trayvon Martin doesn't disqualify self defense, which only requires a person to feel threated at the time he shot... but can disregard 5 minutes before. "Stand your ground" simply eleviated the need to attempt to remove ones self from an escalating sense of danger.

Is Zimmerman criminal in his undue use of force?-Even if he is you can't force him to testify and no court will accept the 911 call as the sole basis for finding him guilty.

What do you mean "probably"? The man MURDERED an unarmed teen ager. He should be allowed to go to that victims' neighborhood and given ten minutes to "get away" while everyone is after HIM with a gun.

PROBABLY???????

Southern conservatives/GOP rule in Florida..... Southern conservatives have made the laws that govern Florida.... Just who are these southern conservative politicians??? Are racists pig politicians in America hiding in the Grand Old Party?

"From my narrower perch, where I watched Nixon's "Southern strategy" successfully evolve in his 1968 campaign, it seemed that the roots of our political dysfunction trace back to a shift in southern conservative congressional representation from Democratic to Republican control following the Civil Rights Act of 1964."Alan Greenspan "The Age of Turbulence" pg246

Alan Greenspan seems to think they are...... So Zimmerman walks free.
