My whole objection is a semantic one: The word "marriage" refers to a heterosexual union, not a homosexual one.

====

Not the truth. Google the number of countries which recognize gay marriage.

Please cite an unbiased source for your claim.

If you think "marriage" is the same no matter what gender is being married, you have a problem with the English language.

====

From Merriam-Webster online definition of "marriage"

1a : the state of being united to a person of the opposite sex as husband or wife in a consensual and contractual relationship recognized by law (2): the state of being united to a person of the same sex in a relationship like that of a traditional marriage

"Gay" animals - those who spurn mates of the opposite sex - are pretty rare in Nature.

There's no excuse for the murder.

But I am amazed at Larry King's behavior. He was certain to end up with trouble of some kind, it was inevitable. This whole situation is very painful to read about.

And I notice you're not going near the question that I asked

====

I answered you. I'm still waiting for a response to the Fox article I posted for you proving that homosexuality occurs throughout the animal kingdom, contrary to your supposition that it's not natural.

McInerny is about to learn the meaning of "Don't drop the soap."

haWhere were the adults in this? Why was there not an intervention before some immature teenager escalated things to a deadly level?

I can understand that the kid did not want the advances, but the advances did not justify what he did. What was done was literally overkill.

He need to take the problem to a respondsable adult.

And I notice you're not going near the question that I asked:
If a 14 year old lesbian had shot a 15 year old boy for making repeated unwanted sexual advances towards her, would she also have been sentenced to 21 years in prison? I think we all know that she would not. And there is some injustice in that, yes.

I have answered that one so many times on this thread, I must have glossed over your question - sorry for that.

I would hope that anyone who kills another in cold blood - first-degree pre-meditated murder in this case - would get life in prison, or execution, whichever is cheapest.

You don't?

ping - just refreshing the earlier threads, since CBS won't.

CBS - please fix the posting problem.

It's unfortunate that your system doesn't update responses to posts unless a new post is made. It sounds like a problem for your tech support...

GLBT activists seem to want to push us all towards a world where heterosexuality is not the norm, where being gay is just as "normal" as being straight.

====

Based on what? I am hetero, and only know the gays I know because they were comfortable enough to share the private info with me.

Do you actually know any gay people?
