- it's sad! Convict the man because his drug addict patient died. Michall knew darn well what he was playing with and the consequences of doing such. His family is pathetic, money grubbing idiots. I hope he's out in a yr. My thoughts are with you Conrad Murray.

- They should have pinned a medal on this guy for taking a child molester out of action. Jackson was a sick pervert and the people who covered for him are just as sick. Wake up people. Society is much better off without him.

- Why do people feel sorry for the doctor? I don't get it. Jackson had problems, but the scumbag doc fed into them and made money off of Jackson's illness. The doctor killed him and the jury found him guilty and he should have to spend the 4 years in jail and lose his license forever.

- Here is yet another example of "The More Money You Have In America..The More Justice You Receive". Dr. Murray was going up against a very powerful and wealthy family in the USA that was out for "justice" and would pay whatever price necessary to get it. A high profile group of people who look to blame everyone else for something that was most likely very evident to those who were around Michael Jackson daily. That being: even though the man was a musical genius, on a personal level he was a total: Drug addict and an extreme "Nut Case" in general and had been for quite some time. Everyone is addicted to something. Whether it be drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, chocolate, exercise, risky behaviour, etc. But to have an addiction to hospital grade sedatives normally used for surgical procedures in order to sleep on a daily basis is pretty far "left of center" by even the most tolerant of standards. Dr. Murray basically got "trapped" in the "web" of dealing with a very high profile celebrity that was used to having "total control" of everyone and everything around him. Including his doctor(s). Mr. Murray's monthly paycheck of 150K or 1.8 million dollars per year would have been highly enticing to anyone in his profession. Unfortunately, I doubt that he had any idea initially as to what he was getting himself in to when he first agreed to be Michael Jackson's "personal physician". In my opinion, the jury was really wrong on this verdict. Addicts will do whatever necessary to get what they need and even though Michael Jackson probably "pulled his own trigger" for one last time, Dr. Conrad Murray is quite unfairly paying the ultimate price for it.

- Word is that he will not be in the slammer for too long.
He clearly was not a capable physician since he did not know how to doe CPR.
What he is most guilty of is getting caught up in all of the MJ lifestyle and money and not standing up to a patient wanting a drug like that to sleep.
Next trial SHOULD be going after whoever SUPPLIED the medication in large quantities to a private practice physician and not to a hospital, where is intended to be used. - Reply to this comment
- Another reason that MDs should not allow patients to prescribe their medical treatment. The MD is alive and taking the rap and the patient that ordered the treatment is gone.

- I agree with the verdict, and I agree that he should do some serious time. However, the Jackson family and probably a great many "fans" overlook one important detail - Michael chose to become an addict. If it wasn't Murray, some other doctor would have gotten sucked into the situation, either by money or threats, or both. Jackson's death was a direct result of an addict who bought doctors to feed his habit. Joseph can act as if he's God all he wishes, but reality is he raised a druggie slash freak.

- I don't think the cops liked him very much. They started hand-cuffing him even before the judge was finished once they heard that the judge was denying him bail.

- Hope he gets probation. Dr. Murray's life was already in tatters BEFORE he met Michael Jackson.

- I hope he gets probation. People without power should never mess with celebs. Jackson couldn't afford a celeb doctor so he went with a general family doctor.
