- She should be suspended. This article's writer(s) exaggerate the offenses against her, and do not note that she angrily overreacts to her opponents' actions. In Video 1, the player taps Lambert's chest with her elbow - Lambert retaliates with a strong, hard punch to the back of the other player. In Video 2, the BYU player in front pulls up the bottom of Lambert's shorts - there is no crotch grabbing - Lambert angrily reacts by sharply yanking the other player's ponytail, slamming her to the ground. Also, compare the expression on Lambert's face to her victims'. Lambert is enraged, her opponents' show no anger, but a normal expression. Lambert is touched and she slams. Get her, and the writers of this article, out of here. Shame on her actions, and your misleading lies.

- This story is like two years old. Aren't there more important things to write about that one chick pulling another chick's hair. Give me a break

- Well here in Canada, the crouch is not found on the out side of the leg. Yes we are silly people. Mr. Ciolino, do you know what a crouch is?

- As a former soccer player for 13+ years, Lambert was way over the line. Honestly, there is a lot of unintentional boob and crotch grabbing, that's just how players defend one another. There has to be contact in order to play the game correctly. Lambert should have no right to claim any kind of sexual assault because soccer is a contact game. Anyways, what about football? Guys are on top of each other and I'm sure there has been plenty of crotch grabbing.

- Look, Paul, you are obviously unaware of the soccer laws and just overall the way to play the sport.
Such "assult" done the Lambert in these games are common deeds done in youth soccer and above, however, no further intentions than being competative and "geting in someone's head" during the game is meant. PUNCHING and PULLING HAIR is a red card IMMEDIATLY!! It doesn't matter if you are the best player in the world! A foul is a foul. This is not only dangerous play off the ball, but also unsportsman like behavior. I'm surprised she was not carded the second the fouls happened. Yes, the other plays were not entirely inocent, but their fouls could have been dealt with minorly, probably a yellow for the shorts being tugged (SHE WAS NOT GRABING HER CROTCH!! If you saw the video clearly, she was tugging on the access shorts matterial on Lambert's quad! A foul, yes, but not something to pull out a girls hair for! NO!) and if the ref caught it, a free kick for the elbow shot, maybe a yellow if this had happened before.
Also, to compare the fouls on a soccer field with assults in everyday life is totaly wrong. You can expect these things in soccer, yes, but once you step off the field, it's a whole 'nother world. Any comparisoin is not fully thought through, and overall incompetent.
Lambert's reaction was not adqueate at all, taking out ten fold on the girls. A simple push with the body to warn the first girl, and to push off the seconds hands would have been more than enough and the ref could have been able to call it in Lambert's favor.
She should not be allowed to play a such a high competative level if she can't keep her sportsmanship and head level.
Get it right next time Paul.

- First of all, what does here physical beauty have to do with anything let alone her proclivity towards violence. Second of all is this quote: "First and foremost soccer is a very physical sport that is played aggressively."
Soccer is a very competitive sport that does have some physical contact; but should nonetheless be played fairly and without excessive aggression. Idealizing this as somehow close to but not in bounds with how the game is normally played is simply an inappropriate characterization. Maybe next time CBS will consider not using someone from the C-team of journalists to cover this story. - Reply to this comment
- she was clearly provoked both times you can view it easily on the footage! I would have done the same thing! Little Mormon ******* think they are so "coy" and acted like victims as if they had done nothing to provoke Elizabeth when they clearly did! YOu can't see them assaulting her first because they are not obvious about it but it did happen they even smile as they do it to her but her reaction is more obvious and therefore more attention is drawn to it! Cheating BYU *******!

- What???????? Besides the old adage about two wrongs don't make a right, this type of conduct is so clearly not acceptable that it is unbelievable someone could even consider her actions justifiable. Put this author in a room with Lambert, shake well and then ask for this jerk's opinion.

- I'm just glad that I have not hired the author of this story to do any investigations for me. He is obviously unable to see the real details of a case. I mean, he equates the pull of shorts to a "crotch grab". Yes, there was aggressiveness on both sides, but her 'retaliations' when she was provoked were well beyond what a serious athlete should even consider while playing the game.
