i'm chilled to the bone about this murder. but right now i'm livid at how so many people are against a TV show. Its a show. Its a good show. Do any of yall have a clue as to what it is about? The character Dexter went thru major trauma when he was just a toddler, he watched his mother be slaughtered he was left in a pool of blood. this kind of stuff unfortunately happens. the Cop that took him in as his own, help teach him to control his anger, rage, and the urge to kill. He is now grown man woking for the police department and he kills killers. The gives true justice. you dont get off scott free cause you have someone lieing giving you an alliby money can't help you you killed someone, child, woman, man, whomever and Dexter basically does the same to you. its a good show. As far as blaming the show, thats ridiculous. The parents should be paying more attn to their child and what they watch. And if parents spent time with their kids and paid attn then the parents should have realized, well honey i think our son has some inner issues. But no we're going to blame tv. I dont think we should blame the parents. some people are just evil, some people are just damaged. it is the world today! and has been forever. I feel bad for this family i'm upset about the loss of the 10 year old. but dont blame tv. Thats stupid. and FYI Dexter came out in 2006. as of october of 09 it has been out for 3 years. I'm over everyone blaming tv and video games. there are ratings for a reason parents need to pay attn to their kids. tv and games dont make murderers. Its something deeper than that. Thats what doctors and specialist are for. And also, society has to blame everything on something other than theirselves.

My heart breaks for this family. They have to live with this for the rest of their lives. I do wonder where the parents were when it comes to setting an example for their son. That he would admire a fictional character and want to murder someone because of a show seems so sad and pathetic. But at the same time don't blame the show, it is supposed to be entertainment, sick twisted people are to blame for their own mistakes. Pray for Connor and the parents and yes even for Andrew and then make sure you hug your own kids and be thankful you still have them in this world. As a side note, life in prison doesn't even come clsoe to what this kid deserves but that his final judgement....

Send him to afghanistan and let him kill all he wants. He'll eventually get what's coming to him.

The boy is evil, that is not the parents fault, but perhaps they should have seen some of the signs. The show Dexter is on its fourth seaso, and if he was watching it in the 8th grade his parents are to blame because the show is NOT appropriate for a 13 year old boy. If parents were parents instead of letting television do it for them maybe we wouldn't be seeing our youth killing each other. This is NOT televisions fault, it is the parents responsibility to know what their children are watching and edit those shows that are not appropriate or do not send the message they want there children to receive.

Oh my, I don't believe that a TV show or anyone can make you do things. You choose to do them, that is the bottom line. I am so tired of people blaming everything or everyone but the person that has committed the crime. He needs to be reasonable for what he has done.

He stated he had the desire to kill since he was in the eighth grade so that would be at least 4 or 5 years ago. I'm not positive but I don't think that show is that old. Possibly it is but I just heard of it this year.
