- I've spent many years as a member of alt.com and one of the things that is continually stressed there is safety. People there look out for one another. This man is not the norm that is found there. As in any place in the world, there are good and bad in everything. Unfortunately, BDSM is usually shown in a bad light when there are really some very nice people involved in it.
