- She sure debunks the stereotype of the persecuted Muslim woman forced to wear that garbage - she believed in it sufficiently to crack when asked not to wear it. As no doubt many or most do. Too bad she didn't absorb the American concept that she was allowed to say "No" to her husband, then they could have lived together in the American way - with him honoring his religion, and her living by her own religion. Coexistence, the only way to go.

- It would seem like the best way to avoid your children, spouse, or self become 'westernized' is to avoid moving yourself or them to a western country..especially when this causes you to feel compelled to kill them. Maybe it's just me... He should have looked a little harder for a compatible mate.

Dont put her in Jail we can send her back to Packastan to the relitives or her Husband. This way she can go back to her roots. She would be dead within 3 hours. Good thing she does not like America. - Reply to this comment
- Just my thought on how to do this correct
1. When cooking dinner use lamb and pork meatballs in pasta. This way when she comes home from sitting on the couch all day you can surprise her.
2 No booze get her a wine cooler but put extra club soda in it. You know like you did in High school after the football game.
3 After a nice dinner and a couple wine coolers then the Burka would come off.

- Did I hear correctly? Did someone say "Let her go, she did the right thing.." What country and what century are we living in? Are you saying that every time a husband and wife disagree, one would have the right to slash the other's neck? She could have left or called the police with the alleged abuses. Why didn't she?

- I'm conflicted on this. I admire the wife because she is not the typical browbeat islamic woman that suffers in silence. I also think that at best, her husband is a moderate, not fanatical muslim that is trying to "fit in" over here. That said, no one deserves to have his or her throat slit by one's spouse while sleeping. She has suffered from depresion before, let's get her some help and get both of them some marraige consuling......after she get's out of prison (hopefully a minimum sentence with the husband's approval).

- How do you force a wife to drink alcohol, eat pork and where mini skirts? If truthfully devout, she would have said no or left.
