Jaycee did or did not contact the authorities for many reasons. Maybe someone or many people within the local authorities were involved in Jaycees Hell

- They Kidnaps her in 1991 wearing an ankle tracking device
- They Possibly kidnaps Rapes, Injures and Kills many girls and children in the community while wearing an ankle tracking device
- Has a parole officer visit his residence often
- Had perverted parties that which the neighbors witnessed
- The neighbors knew he was a sexual predator
- The neighbors sometimes saw him with young girls
- He was know as Creepy Phil in the neighborhood
- Neighbors called the police about his perverted ways and that people were living in the yard, and a police officer checked it out
- He went to the FBI with the girls to give them information regarding this case

Am I the only one that thinks someone(s) with authority could have been involved in this evil

I must say after reading these postings that I don't know who is sicker... Garrido or some of you who advocate stoning, dragging, slashing, cutting off genitalia, quartering, and slow forms of torture that you yourselves would administer even though Garrido did nothing to you directly or indirectly. Garrido is basically delusional and crazy and probably would not understand this retribution at all, but that will teach him, eh? And how could you face your spouse, your family, your god, or look at yourself in the mirror after soiling your hands in this? Let's just execute him humanely and be done with it.

What a bunch of creeps, from the wife to the neighbors who saw no evil and of course did nothing! The man is stupid and so are the people who let him prey on others. Our police are usually CJ graduates, and do the best they know but that is not saying much. I had an experience with our local police where my champion dog was stolen. After detailing my loss, etc. , the lead detective turned to me and said, "Who are you and what is your relation to this case?" I must admit I lost it and told him to listen and learn to pay attention. I had outlined the case and he just seemed to suddenly appear from his torpor when he asked me the stupid question. I got his attention and they solved the case with my help.

I find it delightfully ironic that all of the wholesome comment posters here are salivating over their own morbid, vulgar revenge fantasies ? and offer [almost] no kindness for the family, the girl (now woman) or her unfortunate children.

You are the real America. You are sitting there judging, abhorring, and constantly hoping for any opportunity to execute some justified reprisal ? barely cogent and always bloody.
You are the same, you and this man. And his wife.

Only difference is you are on a very thin, imaginary leash.

Maybe if we weren?t so quick to fill our prisons with drug-offenders there?d be room for more like this guy. You know, dangerous people? Maybe there?d be resources to keep track of these sick people, maybe he?d still be in jail.

Perhaps if prison weren?t just a hazardous place, where fear of rape and bodily harm produced even more dangerous criminals, we wouldn?t be paroling an endless flow of sociopaths.

I'm hardly a liberal, but I shudder to think that these comments characterize the typical mindset of my fellow citizens.

Institutional/government incompetence runs amok and no one is ever held accountable. It's become the American way.

All the real problems, aside from the perpetrator himself, are from mistakes made in the justice system.

This guy should be tied in front of an industrial real time x-ray machine. The kind that can see through steel drums and has a constant x-ray beam coming out of them. Point it right at his guts and watch his guts rot and various parts of him fall off over a 30 day period.

People - this guy and his wife both deserve our scorn, but they also deserve a trial. I'm NOT a bleeding heart - I just believe in our constitutional rights.

It would seem to be a foregone conclusion that they are guilty, but let's let the law take care of them.

he and his wife should be burned alive...but unfortunatly i think the people who write the law's are pedophiles also because he will get 3 years in jail all but 10 months suspended, labeled as a repeat sex offender, which he already was and be right back out doing it again to some other innocent child.....if he had robbed a bank he would spend the rest of his life in prison without parole, lets u know what the people in charge really think is important.im a father of 2 girls and there is nothing in this world that would stop me from tearing him limb from limb and beating his wife to death with the body parts,us parents need to get together and start some vigilante justice on these ******* perverted ********,its the onlyway anything is ever going to change
