Comments on: Teen Who Roasted Kitten Shows No Remorse
- Another nut job. I hope she isn't allowed to reproduce. If she can't have any empathy for a small kitten, she certainly won't for a child. She will be in the news again. She is (apparently likes) being a miscreantal blight.

- Whether or not she knew the cat's particular capacity to absorb therms and still survive is not the issue here. What is at stake here is her capacity to act as a proper role model for others that might have to break into somebody's apartment and deal with another cat.
In other words, as nunovyerbeezwax said, "What are you smoking?"
Just the fact that she would exact such cruelty on another living being, whether human or feline, makes her a totally socially unacceptable person, and she deserves to be punished. - Reply to this comment
- Sadly, I find myself asking that question more and more these days. Parents use the excuse of having too much to do to spend quality time with their children. Folks, there has to be some time available. My father worked long hours when I was growing up, but he still found time for us. It was possible then, and it's possible today.

- Why give her the easy way out? Too many people these days say "they're sick", and "they need help", and so they never have to take responsibility for what they have done. She doesn't need a shrink, she needs punishment ... and a lot more than a year, too.

- Allow for some feline revenge. Throw her in a lion cage.

- I agree. Two objectionable people would have been removed from our system, never more to hurt anything or breed, or cost us taxpayers more money to support their worthless behinds.

- Cultural sensitivity and condoning the wanton killing of defenseless creatures are two entirely different things. I suspect that you did not fully understand what your PoliSci professor was talking about. In your case, the culprit was probably the admissions office at Barnard.

- If a felon broke into YOUR home, where were YOU??? Why didn't you notice and protect your son? If the felon gave your son drugs, he should be responsible for his death. You have left out some details here. We are all VERY sorry for your son's death. I would certainly not agree that an animal's life was more important than your son's. What we are discussing here is the horrible abuse done to a helpless creature. Start a blog about your son and his killer. We'll be there for you.

- Why do these people always get the sequence wrong. If they'd of just stuck each other in the oven we'd all be better off.

- Ten years from now or sooner this will be the next serial killer. If this was my child I would beat her until she could not walk.
What a sick and disturbed person. - Reply to this comment
- But the killing of an animal isn't "senseless," as you put it, if the animal is then used for sustenance. What this "person" did was not killing for food, it was torture, plain and simple.

- Won't she make a great mama some day? Good argument for early sterilization... some people should never be allowed to have kids eh?

- OK thusspokezara, we get it. You hate cats and this crime delights you. Give it a rest. But let's hope this girl - already a hardened sociopath with no capacity for empathy at the young age of 17 - or someone like her never crosses paths with you. You may find that this kind of action isn't so funny after all.

- thusspokesara -- you are almost as sick as Cheyenne Cherry. You might even be Mrs. Trepidacious. Either way you still wasted your money going to Barnard if in fact you really did attend an institution of higher learning. With each of your posts my doubt grows.

- Not if somebody does the right thing. No jury would convict the hero who removed this piece of excrement from our midst. No disrespect to excrement was intended.

- You threw your money away at Barnard. And BTW most of us, no matter what our cultural background or religious preference might be -- WERE TAUGHT TO RESPECT LIFE WHEN WE WERE IN KINDERGARTEN. If you don't respect life, then nonthing else matters.

- Her mother must be so proud!
Here's another one who'll live most of her life in prison.
Let's hope her mother's been sterilized because she's some kind of parent! The kind we don't need! - Reply to this comment
- Although, dear ejcspau, you are expressing your own brand of disease by generalizing that this crime is unique to Bronxites. What punishment would be adequate for you?Maybe to let you live one year in The Bronx?Personally I don't want your kind here.

My kind? The kind of person who thinks this is a sick crime, no matter where it's committed? Hmmm... seems you're a little defensive about this issue. Do you hate cats too, or just don't mind cruelty to animals. Since this isn't toniamato.com, guess your dislike to caring people doesn't mean jack. Have a nice day. - Reply to this comment
- A year in jail? How about 30 minutes at 350?? This person will go on to commit far, far worse.
