- This is an outrage! Color has nothing to do with it. I can't believe so many ppl here are stuck in the stone age attitudes about the color of the skin of the perpetrators, and worse for the ones who said the girl wore make up and dressed older than her age! She was still a child! I have one burning question, where were her parents?? Nevermind the devil or religion or lack of, parents need to be parents, teach you sons to respect women, and know where your daughters are. How could this happen, and her parents have no clue, I have 3 daughters,and always made a point of knowing where they were, lack of parental supervision is disturbing here. Have to work? - I cry as I read alot of these comments. STOP with the racial remarks, it does not matter what color.
I remember when I was 11yrs old, we have all been that age!! Put your self in her shoes. Imagine the horror!! No place to run!! This whole case will be torn apart because of racial remarks, she again will be raped out of the justice she diservers. The rapist thought this was a joke, they filmed it, they returned and struck again!
If a dog bites you does it matter what color the dog was?? You where still biten! Does it matter if the dog was 5 or 10 yrs old? I keep hearing the remarks "These young men" they are not men they are animals. Not one came forward at anytime to help or stop the actions. They where filming it, they retuned, there was no remorse for the little girl! I think there should be no remorse for them!
For you that think this was ok because they where juvinals, I only wish the same for you. For any that feel she was at fault, I also wish the same for you! - Sharon_pretty...no in march twelve when you wrote that this are only boys according to the nyt, that was because then it was only a few boys arrested but now is about 28 man suspected of the multiple counts rape and some of them which some are photographed are up to 25 years old if i'm not mistaken. this is a shocking and brutal crime. if this same crime had happened to the rapist's sisters and black man were the rapists. this same black parents that are claiming consensual sex, would be screaming rape right now and claiming justice. this is not consensual and this is not about races. this is a brutal crime against a child and bright student; and this "criminals" will pay for it. yes parents of this man, you are the parents of criminals and where were you? when your criminals sons were raping this innocent little baby. how did you raise them?....i'm making you the same questions you are making against the victim and her parents. doesn't feel so good when the cards are turned, does it?

- Look, the bottom line is "11 years old". I mean really people? I don't think guys are that stupid not to know better. If one of them has severe "diminished capacity" then talk to me. - Ok. I want to know this. If I am 19 and 1 week, and my girlfriend is 16 and 50 weeks, is it still a crime? Or do I have to wait two weeks before 17. Is it that people over 21 can't have any sexual relations with someone under 17, or is it everyone? Answer back please, thanks

- Consensual my azzzz! You tell me how a group of people get together looks at an 11 year old and says oooohhhh, she wants to have sex, let me help her. I don't care what she looks like. I don't care what she had on. I don't care if she was built like a grown woman. SHE WAS 11 YEARS OLD! No person in their right mind wants to have sex with a bunch of men, one after the other. If you have someone in front of you saying they do, you need to run for the hills, because something is mentally wrong with the person. OR they have been abused previously and think it is the norm. So say to yourself, why abuse them further?
It appears as if the parents of some of the accused are blaming the 11 year old. I say to them, if you think this child consented, you should have warned your son of people who are abused and think that sex is love. You should have warned your son that when they are with a group of people who are doing something bad, leave them where they stand.
