We are seeing the 15 minutes of fame crowd in big numbers. They are distracting our government security details from doing their job. Maybe
it is true that Ann Margret was discovered sipping on a skyscraper ice cream soda in a sweet shoppe in Wilmette, Illinois only to become a star on the Jack Benny show. None of this will happen to this woman showing up at her age in her underwear. Jimmy Durante said it best, Everybody wants to get into the act.

There is a much more critically important question here than mere trivialities about terrorists and people's rights..

That question is, SHOULD WOMEN BE ASHAMED OF THEIR BODIES?

The answer is a resounding YES! Many women should be ashamed of their bodies...

BUT NOT TAMMY BANOVAC!

It's a good idea to speed up the search but if all women who looked like hert got down to their bras and panties, the delays would be enormous.
Men would forget where they were going.

Ah ha! Our secret plan is working. Now if we can just convince the rest of the women in America to strip down to their undies, our plan will be complete!

"I am a military officer ! What would possibly lead someone to believe that I am a possible terrorist ?"

**********************************************

It says right at the top of page three of the TSA's Terrorist-Catcher's Handbook, that terrorists who intend to kill themselves and everyone else on board an aircraft sometimes pretend to NOT be suicidal terrorists.

But of course...those dumb terrorists would NEVER think of something as diabolically clever as buying a disguise at an Army-Navy store...so I guess we're safe!

BUT...Let one deluded kid successfully detonate his jockey shorts at 35,000 feet, and protesters like the lovely Tammy will find themselves, "detained indefinitely pending further investigation"... into a possible terrorist attempt to lower the level of security at US airports...and half the people posting here about "intrusive searches" and the loss of their "rights and freedoms" will be standing tall with torches and pitchforks, bellowing for her summary execution.

Why do we Americans always want it both ways? It usually leads to our getting neither.

Ben Franklin said "They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."

If we are willing as a whole to give up our rights because either we are scared or the government is, we don't deserve our freedoms or safety.

This country was founded by men who stood up for themselves and chose to make their own destiny. It sickens me that we, the people are too affraid or too busy in our own small lives to come together and stand up and fight together.

Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We have lost our liberty. We are losing our lives and our happiness. Most of us have lost our jobs and our homes and now we aren't even able to fly without being humiliated! When is enough enough? When are the american people going to take the time to come together and fight for what this country stands for.

We still have the right to speak up for ourselves, for the time being anyway. We need to, as a whole, stand together and fight like our founding fathers did, for our liberty, hapiness and right to live. They would be ashamed of us. I am. Us meaning the american people, not the government. We allowed the government to get to where it is by not being involved. We stepped out of the process and allowed them to take over because we were just too busy to care.

Its time to stand up and get our country back befre its too late.

I have just put in my application for work at TSA after reading this column. No, it has nothing to do with the photo of Tammy so don't think I'm being sexist. Well........on second thought, I might be lying.

TSA - just a bunch of idiots trying to do a job the gov't has convinced them is worthwhile. Lemmings come to mind at this point.
Just glad I don't/won't fly.

Maybe you should try. I bet, if you do, you will see how wrong you are.

No matter what you think of the "enhanced" screenings being done by the TSA, you've gotta admire this lady's spunk!

50 plus years old and she's in lace bra and thong!

Obviously she succeeded: it didn't take more than an hour this time to determine that she wasn't hiding any bombs or weapons. Golly. She wasn't hiding anything - even her modesty!!!

lol.

It would all be different if TSA was using a little intelligence along with its technology. But they are not. So, end the pat downs and get a dog. Dogs sniff croches all the time and nobody is upset. I'd rather have a dog sniffing me than to have some stranger with minimum training and questionable intelligence feeling me up.

We've long past the point of protecting ourselves against terriorists. We're now allowing people to legally commit sexual battery . . . all in the name of being "safe" when we fly.

So why aren't we "safe" just getting through the screening?
