Arrests in New Birth Church Burglary

(WSB Radio) Two suspects are in custody, accused of using a master key to enter Bishop Eddie Long's private quarters at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia.
The unidentified men are charged with burglary and larceny after they allegedly entered the office of the mega-church pastor on the evening of June 13th. The suspects, who were caught on surveillance video, were wearing dark hooded sweatshirts and white gloves. They allegedly took an iPhone, an iPad and jewelry.
Because the master key used in the break in was taken from the church secretary's desk on the Friday before the thefts, DeKalb police investigators believe the crime may have been an inside job.
In a written statement, Bishop Long said he "forgives the men and hopes that they understand what they did was wrong." He also said "he's praying for them and that God is a God of mercy and compassion."
One member of the New Birth congregation told Channel 2 Action News "I wouldn't expect anything less from him than to be forgiving and to be understanding." She also said "at the same time, you do the crime, you gotta do the time."

- Well, as a Pastor in the days of Noah; when they were awaken to the truth. The message God gave to Noah to tell the people, it was a little too late for them. In the days of Sodom and Gomarrah only four people left the city; however everyone else who stayed parished. The mass majority of people are usually lost do to a huge lack of the Holy Spirit. The next thing worshipping their pastor, and following their denomination instead of the Holy B ible, Matthew 7:13-14. - You guys are so quick to come to a conclusion before even you hear the other side of the story. How credible are those accusors. How in the hell they feel all the sexual activities after given sleeping pills. What is their ( accusors') past lives look like? Could it be setups by some contra religion bashing groups? Most of you guys are running your mouth about the preachers and religion. Yes, As Nature proves it sperm and egg produce baby. Partnership is for Homos; but the traditional marriage is for Man and women.

- Is the minister guilty of having sex with a consentual adult maybe. atht is the only guilt. If you read the PDF on the court this is filed in Civil Court. Civil Court is not criminal court, so the age of consent was there. Now, these guys broke into his office stole his phone and other things. After they decided that he was not their friend any more. Even if was a homsexual I would think If i gave you alot and this is the way you repaid me what a piece of *****. So now they have been tech savey and gave the lynching mob a thumbs up. Money,Money, Money. Botom line they don't deserve one hot dime.

- The issue is at 18 you can be in Afhganistan, you are grown. If I kill some one at 18 you are tried as a adult. Also, the ones that broke into his office are facing adult charges. So ,we are talking about 4 adults whom say that they where taking gitfs and sleeping with in him, they did because they wanted to. Now that he has put them aside jelousy of get back. So, besides his congrgation who gives a hoot who's doing who. I do know this the church did not know, as a black church is a gossip show. The Pit bull lawyers that they have claim coesment all I see is willing particpants who want more of the piece of the pie. Well I say why should prostitution be a issue for the courts to decide. If I have sex with a guy for gifts, no court should step in and say hey you were coerced.
