- are u kidding me??? she should be locked up for good. if this was a man who did this to his daughter this idiotic article wouldn't have even been written. people (hypocrites) would want him on death row. how dare this author even insinuate this is an unfair sentence. this disgusting, perverted, and grotesque excuse for a woman and mother should be in prison for AT LEAST 30 years. major kudos to this judge and jury for putting the blame where it belongs in this case. i'm so happy and enthralled that women are finally getting their just desserts in the legal system. our country has been so unbelievably ignorant and inept with how it views women and what they're capable of. america is so gullible, in denial, and just severely lacking in common sense that they literally let women get away with murder.

- I can't believe this. People have to realize just because you get these lustful thoughts and crazy ideas you don't ACT on them. This chick is WRONG for violating this child and taking his innocence. She should be locked up forever. Not only her all of these perverts that do anything harmful to children. It should not be any questions asked. If the DEATH penalty was enforced more when it came to people harming our children then this would STOP. - Frankly they (meaning cbs) should experiment with asking this question in a non-gender biased way.
Ask the question with the computer randomly selecting the gender.
For example the question could be: Should a <parent> go to jail for having sex with their <child>.
And then the computer could randomly choose the gender, and it could come out like : Should a father go to jail for having sex with his daughter?

- It's not like she didn't suspect this was wrong...or against the law. She knowingly committed this act so some jail time should be served. She took no consideration for the feelings of this young boy who will now be forever scarred with this memory! She should have read Oedipus Rex!

- Consensual incest is not a crime and is is not immoral....sorry to disappoint all you brainwashed christian literalists. The usual mother/son bond was not developed and was not there.
