Wow! This mom showed really poor judgement, to say the least. Who at one time or another has done something really stupid they wish they could take back? I had a child when I was 20 and I knew enough to not put my child in danger. She needs education. Not everyone grows up in Leave It to Beaver homes and havent been modeled good parenting skills. Im amazed that you have to have a license to birth puppies in your home, fish, hunt, drive a car and yet the one thing we have so little education is in the area of parenting. If your a military person, and been pregnant, you know they have you view films and spend a bit of time on parenting before your first appointment. Not a bad idea. I do think she should be drug tested. she should be monitored and already is a high risk for abuse. I dont think however, unless she tests positive for drugs, etc her baby should be taken. She needs court ordered parental classes. Then if she doesnt go, baby needs to be taken out of home. Not only should mom be drug tested but dad should be too. The same standards set for both parents. The biggest crime here, stupidity and ignorance. Both can be cured with a bit of education and maturity.

This IDIOT has NO business with a baby. I do not care what the adults do.. its their business.. but.. if you have NO more respect..decency for your child then this.. you do not need one. I am NOT sure where this would be a joke to send a friend.. other then by someone who has no sense what so ever. Poor babies are being kidnapped.. abused..raped..murdered..beaten every minute.. and now this!! How freaking wonderful this mother is also. Jail her.. take her child and DONT let her have it back.

I think this picture is actually hilarious and people's over reactions make it all the more funny. I mean, there are advertisements in the world that have a child near drug paraphernalia but those are fine. No one is taking consideration in the fact that there is also no bowl in the water pipe... so really all the child is touching is a plastic/ or glass object. What if the girl doesn't even USE this for drug use? I personally have seen quite a few interesting looking bongs that I have been interested in buying because they look neat to me. I don't do drugs. I mean, if the child was touching a pop can huh? Because you can make that into drug paraphernalia too. I do think it was foolish i suppose to post that online where a bunch of stupid people can overreact and cause you such problems but i also think (if the child is not being in contact with A. a dirty bong, or B. DRUGS) the mother should be let off. It's simply a picture made for humor, in a controversy breathing world. Get over it people.

I cant believe people are feeling sorry for this young mother. I don't give a damn if she was 19, 26, 45 or even 60. You do not let your child have any contact with any with drug paraphernalia.

I am SO sick of hearing "she is a young mother so dont be so hard on her"! I am 23 and a mother of 2 young daughters! I was married before I got pregnant with my first! I have NEVER taken pictures like this of my kids! I am never been irresponsible when it came to my kids!! When you become a mother its no longer about you being a young child it about your kids and them being children for as long as then can now days! Dont push them to grown up! Dont pull stunts like this and not expect to get in any trouble! It was dumb and irresponsible! Grow up and take care of your kids! If you cant do that maybe they do need to be given to someone who can take care of them and will be resposible for them!

First of all being spanked and disciplined doesn't have anything to do if your going to smoke or do drugs I contradict that statement. I just like to see the world in different ways and have different experiences. Posting the picture on facebook is really dumb, that's just asking for problems. There are too many judgmental people that don't know the situation giving one **** because of their ignorance. Too many laws too many problems we need to go back to what the founding fathers believed in, freedom. Why should someone care what he or she does in there free time. How do you change the mind of someone that has been brainwashed? The biggest brain washer is the people in the government because they say what they need to say to make their lives better they don't care about you. Land of the thief, home of the slave.

I love to read the ignorance of young new parents. With their (She needs parenting classes), or she was spanked as a child. What a crock, parenting classes??? WTH is that, this is new age bull. If you need a class on how to be a parent, you shouldn?t have a child and if you do, give it up. If your child is bad, they need discipline. Not a time out chair. When my kids were bad, they got a spanking; my kids are all grown and have kids of their own. They love how they were raised, and now raise theirs the same way. They are all drug free, alcohol free, and hate free, lol. My sister had parenting classes and time out chairs, her kids are looosers!! Mine are smart college educated well put together adults.
