Considering the behavour of some students in our schools today, I believe that the problem of some students is at home, they do not have consequences for their actions and they seem to get away with things that I know I would not have when I was in school, teachers can only do so much with students like with behavour problems so they need the parents to get involve and sometimes that just does not happen in some cases. The old saying is that it should start at home when they are young so that these kind of students would not be so many and I know as a parent it can get rough but you have to be consistant in your role of discipline teachers can not do this alone and being in the classrooms at times I see what they go through and if parents would sometimes see if they can observe without the students knowing somehow maybe they can see what the problem really is. from Bestsub 5/13/2010

There is NOTHING funny about this. This is disgusting that someone that is a trusted person in authority gets so angry to this extent. There is NO reason that a teacher should ever lay a hand on a student in this manner. I am glad that she was fired and I hope that the parents press for charges against her. And I hope she NEVER steps foot in another classroom. Obviously teaching in not her cup of tea. She is the kind of teacher that makes us other teachers look bad.

I don't see the problem.

A smart @ss 13 year old boy just got beat by a woman, and deservingly so.

If it wasn't for bleeding heart libs that always side with criminals, that would be the end of the story.

In my day I would have gotten a beating from my father as well. That is why we behaved in school.

I do appologize=this child was not reported to have been a special needs child, but any child who suffers this way is a heart breaking situation.

Having a special needs child, I am thankful for the kind and sensitive people who have worked with her. This is heart breaking for the child who was screaming in fear. Only God knows the trials a special needs child goes through in the school system and beyond.
