- She is lucky. A man would have been convicted with evidence or trial.

- Now, may this woman be able to 1) get her job back (or another job teaching like the one she lost due to these charges) 2) get her children back, 3) get a nice lawsuit against those that allowed this case to get this far. This teacher's reputation was ruined based on lies.

- Echos of Mike Nifong; it's harder to get consistent decency in the government halls of the South than it is to find eyeteeth on a laying hen, I know because I now live in Augusta and have had occasion to compare, and to think, the biggest forked-tongue preachers of decency and conservatism in Washington come from here, the likes of Gingrich & Sanford & DeLay. Oh well, as the song goes, -"...don't trust your soul to no backwoods Southern lawyer..."

- Congratulations to Tonya! This is a heartbreaking reminder that people need to stop being narrow minded blowhards and look at all the evidence before jumping to conclusions.
May she get her children back quickly and hopefully, resume a reasonably normal life.
From everything that I read the judge, prosecutor and parents seem to be corrupt and I think that they should be adequately punished for what they have done to this lady and her family. - Reply to this comment
- Tonya should answer a police polygraph. If her story verifies, then the state and others are forced to a pay a substantial monetary award.
